How do I bluetooth enable my TV

I have a set of bluetooth headphones and would like to watch my tv with it.

 

Problem is that my TV is not blue-tooth enabled. But it has USB ports.

 

How do I bluetooth enable it? Will just any bluetooth adapter work?

You have to find one supported by your TV model cos your TV is not like a PC where you can install a driver.

 

I hardly heard of bluetooth dongle support for TV (mostly wifi) but I might be wrong.

TV is not a computer. Cannot simply just make it bluetooth. If your TV has a 3.5mm headphone jack, buy a bluetooth audio transmitter (NOT receiver) and plug into it. Pair it with your bluetooth headphone and you sort of get a bluetooth enabled TV. I do that too so I can turn up the volume and not disturb anyone at night when I watch movie.

TV is not a computer. Cannot simply just make it bluetooth. If your TV has a 3.5mm headphone jack, buy a bluetooth audio transmitter (NOT receiver) and plug into it. Pair it with your bluetooth headphone and you sort of get a bluetooth enabled TV. I do that too so I can turn up the volume and not disturb anyone at night when I watch movie.

Yes. Some of them look like that. But you must make sure it is transmitter and not receiver. It has a battery inside so need to charge but you can just use your USB port on your tv to charge it.

Just checked your link. It is the transmitter so it'll work fine

Yes. No need to use power plug but if you charge while using the transmitter, you might get noise in your headphone as it interferes with the signal. Best to charge it before use. Can last around 2-3 hrs

 

I got mine in Hong Kong. Cheaper at around $22. Not much difference.

You can also try the Ranger Bluetooth Audio Transceiver... receive and transmit audio signals to and from TV... but more ex la.. S$69... Amazon sells same one for S$50 , plus free shipping

For computers only lah. TV will not be able to recognize it.
