Follow how mother addresses add 太, 曾, 祖

.. 太姑婆 / 曾姑婆

姑外曾祖母 sounds rubbish.

i remember calling my great-grandmother 阿太... 曾 sounds more formal to me.

三字經 got teach formally 高曾祖、父而身、身而子、子而孫.  After 曾 is 高. After 孫 is 玄. Seldom people live longer to go beyond this line.

太 is equivalent to 曾 or 高 depends on your dialect. You are Hakka or Cantonese ?

ah i see... i only remember in school we were taught that every gen beyond 祖 is 曾, and just add a 曾 for every gen  [laugh]

bro you suan-ed me before on my Hakka before...  [laugh]

Lucky my relatives are not so particular.

Is not our relative but rather me and wife. We want our boy to inherit my family tree. I fear the time my son growing up addressing all uncle and aunty.
