I have used this tyre for a month plus. had 4000KM with it and so far so good.

Decent quiet and yes CHEAP. 195/65/R15. Got from Comfort Delgro for $105 a piece I think. And Lifetime Nitrogen and tyre patching.

Was using yoko Earth 1 previously but it skidded when wet. This BluEarth is good compared to that.

Better wet grip

Hey,

Since you also driving a Prius, whats your previous tyres prior to using this Earth 1 and BluEarth? I'm comparing it against CC5 for road noise. Prius have one of the worst sound proof....

Hi,

The tyres before this was Stock tyres (goodyear) then Mchellin XM1 then Earth 1 and now BluEarth.

Michellin serves me well.

Stock Goodyear I changed after 20,000KM to Michellin XM1

Michellin XM1 changed after 80,000KM to Earth 1

BluEarth changed at 130,000KM

Estimated mileage.

Still like the MIchellin though but expensive la

XM2 thread wear is quite high, 420 if not wrong, I'm running near to 60k now and it's still quite new.

I'm just looking for even quieter tyres than XM2

I'm also considering the AE50.

Called Soh Brothers and they said they don't stock dB E501 cos of customer complaints.

Now to decide between

1.Eng Wah AE50 @ $140

2. Eng Wah GR90 @ $178

3. Soh Bro CPC2 @ $140

For 205/50/R16

Any thoughts?

Ps: I'm looking for comfort and quiet.

Changed to this set of tyres @ soh brother 1 month back, set of 4 tyres around S$450

Tyres are quiet as compare to previous Falken Zies 912...

Cant comment on the wet road yet, as there has been not much rain for the last month.

overall satisfied with these set of tyre. [thumbsup]

Does anyone knows thread wear rating of the tyre? Just went comfort delgro to check the price.. $98 after 10% special discount! With free patch, nitrogen, rotate and bal! Really Good deal! Pls share the thread wear or rather known as "utqg" rating. Thanks a lot!

Just changed from Yokohama S-type to the AE50 at Soh Tyre Battery Enterprise at AMK. Using 185/55/R15. Full set cost me 440.

Definitely quieter than the stock S-type and still made in Japan. Will post more comments after a bit more driving.

Changed at Soh Brothers (Ang Mo Kio) 195/55-R15 Yokohama BluEarth AE50 for $120 per tyre.

Previous tyres were Michelin XM2. Felt that XM2 is quieter but AE50 handles better. Will post updates after the first 10,000km.

I have also just switched to a set of 4 AE50 185/55/R16 tyres on Honda Jazz.

Can feel the difference:

- Quiet, less bumpy and comfort

- better grip in cornering and control

No regrets in this cost effective MIJ tyres.

Will check back again after 10,000km run.
