Peng348 Clutched March 31, 2017 Share March 31, 2017 Honda CVT feels slightly better than nissan CVT. And also because City is very light. Easier to move off..Honda cvt felt much better than nissan cvt. Engine more responsive. Nissan felt like 1 2 second delay before moving off. ↡ Advertisement
Lime0011 Clutched March 31, 2017 Share March 31, 2017 (edited) Not sure if you guys encountered this. Or is it a CVT/torque converter characteristic. Always been driving 6AT clutch. From start, rev to 2.5k and hold there, car feels like it doesn't have power right off the start. Only when I release accelerator to let RPM drop and step again, then I feel the car power kick in. Could it also be because the car isn't seasoned. Haven't been to first servicing yet. Same here. During first 1st service, I think Engine oil is part of it. But is under change if applicable. Now 4.5K still have the effect. Is this what they call the rubber band effect? Edited March 31, 2017 by Lime0011

Lime0011 Clutched April 1, 2017 Share April 1, 2017 Haha... Even the date in sgcarmart are wrong. * Dated 30 Apr. Not sure is it their sale tactic, sometime they mark up 5k. That time sgcarmart price is 100k. I call them and was informed that currently they have ex stock selling at 95k which is 5k discount. Immediately make appointment and make booking of the car. Then realise they have been already selling around this price. Haha. But sometime it can turn potential buyer away. I almost buy Toyota axio at 92k because 100k is way above my Budget. The engine revs heavily but you don't feel like the car is moving. I did some experiment upon advice from my friends, Turn off the ECO mode and you will feel the drive. To my surprise, it actually feels alot more responsive, almost like my previous 6AT car. It sprints really quickly. It isn't a problem with CVT, its the ECO mode which makes City feel like a drag. Of course mileage will suffer. 60/40 city/highway. ECO mode ~14-15KM/L NO ECO ~13-14KM/L of course this is before 1k servicing, my SE told me it will get better after the first servicing. Titanium 4th Gear April 4, 2017 Share April 4, 2017 98k for City? Looks like KM predicts that COE will go up? Sgt, they stated 93k in their Facebook page, dunno why they want to publish a different price in their pricelist.

Nutty 4th Gear April 4, 2017 Share April 4, 2017 Based on my experience with Shuttle (similarly with ECO mode). Not much diff to FC. Maybe differ by 1km/l? Same should apply for City. I say... let's switch off the ECO button and enjoy your drive!

But I heard KM is clearing city stock before the new gen comes in?
