The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has confirmed a case of trespassing onto its premises along Sherwood Road on Monday.

In response to queries from Channel NewsAsia, the ministry said a vehicle entered its front gate without proper authorisation.

The car had tailgated another vehicle, but was eventually stopped by MFA security officers.

MFA said the situation was quickly brought under control, and that the safety and security of members of the public and MFA staff were not compromised during the incident.

Police confirmed they received a call at about 2.32pm requesting for assistance.

A woman was subsequently arrested for criminal trespass.

Police investigations are on-going.

Small matter lah, talk like they stopped someone who drove a tank into the compound. Maybe she needed to use the toilet?

How about her car GPS failed. She supposed to go to Curry Fish Head over the other side and she landed in MFA... [grin]

just wanted to show that they are on their toes. afterall...they did let someone get away, right?

but in conclusion, it's easier to get away than to get in.

Actually quite scary leh..

this one a blur sotong can already get inside and, according to the story - had to be tracked down etc.

What if really someone that had nefarious ideas - how far would they have been able to get had they been trying, and how much damage could have been done?

Precisely lor... they make it look like a great achievement, in reality its a great big fxxking fail in security.

A suicide bomber would have detonated inside the compound already. pui....

The 2 most important questions that need to be investigated and answered are:

a) why the MFA security officers did not flip the car since that has proven to be the most effective way of neutralising any threat.

b) the woman chio or not.
