I stopped going in at 3am for a few years alrdy but those things sud still b there.

Before they have the qtr tank rule, I used to fill MY petrol going all the way from jln kayu to JB! It's still the old woodland checkpoint. Full tank cheap petrol every week! Then one day a TP caught me speeding along Admiraty Rd on my way to JB for petrol. The fine whipped out a few months' petrol saving!! Edited by Super7

So leave at 0600 from SG, there'll be at least 2 hours wait at checkpoint? Great, 'cos Avis JB opens only at 0800 and I need to pickup a rental car for my bro-in-law. We will drive in 2 cars from there to KL.

Any idea how long it will take from JB to KL on 30-Jan after 0900?

Too many variables to say. At the end of the day will depend on

a) how fast you drive

b) if there happens to be any accidents.

Barring mishaps, would allow 4 hours from JB to KL....

Thanks :) So keeping within speed limit - maybe drive at 90km/h, barring any mishaps, should be around 5 hrs give or take another hour. I only need to reach KL around 1800 anyway. Hopefully it'll be fine.

normal day when i leave home at 7am (i live in west), it already took me about 1.5 hours. On CNY eve, i guess you need more than 2 hours.

If you buffer in everything, you can set a target to reach at 4pm, anything earlier is a bonus :D

21 Dec 2013 was a Saturday.

On 18 Dec, reached Woodlands chk point about 0640, passed thru in 15 mins. At JB check point, it was also a breeze.

B4 the stupid rules on petrol tank, life was good!!

When our life is good, then not so good for gharmen.

Thats why ty step in n make these rules cos many pple find things here getting more n more expensive n keep looking for alternatives. Gharmen keep pushing up the cost of living till many pple just cannot tahan.

Thats why every election, the P8P gets a smaller n smaller % of the votes. A clear sign ty r on the way out unless ty do more to really help the pple n not just a lot of cheap tok.

Just came back from KL. Some update

Thank to these heroine who trespass SG. the jam is freaking bad,the poor custom officer have to run in and out to check, so be patient and be nice to our poor custom officer.

Next I notice a surge in number of polis on the road and road block. On the NSHW there is a lot a unmarked polis car with blinker install inside the car.

Lastly drive safe and be nice and friendly to all cars, truck and lorri
