It is never easy to replace SAF. What he did is to build a dynasty which at this current place and time, I dun think it is possible. However, even if we do not dominate the league for the time being, I rather we have our legends to steer the ship, but like you say, sometimes legend dun mean they are good managers, remember certain King Kenny.. Lol

True, true. Sorry that I was getting a bit excited that there are things to look forward to at last.

If van Gaal is appointed, he should be able to make players toe the line. He once infamously dropped his pants to make his points in a dressing room talk over substitution in BM.

HUH?? Why he did that? [confused]

Laurent Blanc? He did pretty well with France and PSG but he seemingly rejected an overture just. The Man Utd job is a poisoned chalice at this moment. Aging squad and anal board. They need someone with fire in the belly. Cantona or Roy Keane, perhaps? Would like to see Keano getting in there and grilling all the big time charlies. Cantona? Just for the fun of it. :D

Cantona?? man u aint no kung fu academy.

I think Roy Keane would be a good choice, he's the no nonsense type. [thumbsup]

Speaking from a football perspective man u need to be cautious in the trf mkt. The amount spend on serving the debt interest might hinder your spending power in the trf mkt. Do not overspend.

The history of leed united come to mind.

man u merchandising and sponsership is at another level compared to leeds ah... + current financial fairplay... almost impossible to over spend now

lol, i am one of the man u fans tt predict pool will nv perform as well as what they have done currently, eggs covered in my face? well i am quite sure they surprise everyone including pool fans themselves, jus an assumption, i may be wrong as some of u have predicted this coming, well done.

well done to pool, their football like u said is entertaining and breath taking for most part of the season. enjoy it while it last, no other meaning in it purely in terms of football. ability to play entertaining football usually not done by a team only. next season most teams u all play will change their tactic against pool and ready to put 9 men behind the ball happily concede possession and play on the counter. when 1 team employ such tactics, it hard to have an entertaining match. its up to BR how he will respond to it.

I am actually referring to those who are over cocky in their prediction, ie, willing to bet with anyone certain amount that Man U will finish above Pool. Like what you say, Pool's season is out of majority expectation. Pool fans at the start, expected a top 4 fight but don't think any expected a title fight.

After a disappointing jan window I even cast doubt on us finishing in top 4. Was happily proven wrong by the team and so maybe I deserve some eggs too. :D

BR has surprised me with his ability to tweak his tactics for different opponents this season. I was a little critical on him when his 3 centre halves tactic backfired but I believe I am too quick to judge. His subsequent deployment of the diamond and last week the Xmas tree to counter Norwich's diamond, has totally blown me away. He knows what he is doing.

Parked bus? Unless they can fall back fast enough after losing the ball or else our fast transition will hurt them before their bus is parked properly. If Pool push ahead with Kono, they will add more speed to their attack.

Sorry, I think I talk too much about my team. Peace out.

Agree. That's why I enjoy Sky's MNF with them as pundits.

Checked out my link on the BPL thread I posted earlier.

I saw that post. I agree GN will make a better coach and possibly mgr than most of the class of '92.

Here's why the problem in the long run isn't Moyes.

I wonder if Giggs and his coaches could become like what guardiola did at Barcelona... They may lack experience but I feel they are really the Manchester United people so who else can lead the team if not their own...

I can't wait for the Norwich game tomorrow to come quickly enough... i believe all the ManU fans are feeling the same too...

Which first XI is Giggs gonna pick? What formation? How the team going to respond on the pitch? I'm hoping for a fast pace game & attacking the opponents like the good old days,

I'm sure Giggs would relish a good start even is just gonna be for 4 games... it'll do him no harm if leads to a positive end of a disappointing season... maybe the new boss will get him as his assistant?

Another motivation for Giggs for this Sat game... beating Norwich would give Cardiff a boost in their survival & Giggs is from Cardiff [thumbsup]

Last 3 games for GIggs to show his handicap, nothing to shout and nothing to show really.

It will go a long way to prove his worth if Giggs and his ging gang can come out with sounding victories, with Moyes gone, it will leave a bitter taste in his mouth, his body language shows otherwise in happier times. I'm sure as interim manager, he will go all out for a win, no less !

Who would have thought that MU vs Norwich is (one of) the most anticipated game(s) this season - at least for MU fans..

Come On Red Devil!

Unbelievable that would inadvertently do Ah Tan a favor....

many of the top team have new manager in their first season, from man city, to barc, real.m , B.M .

even che, althrough J.M know some of the players, alot of the guys is new to him .

the excuse u are at the first season at the club, blackroom staff change etc, is no longer valid now, esp in those top clubs,

i suspect MAN U will have more patience then other clubs, even if they did not win any thing this season, i doubt they will sack him

but the perfromance drop too much.

the money at stack now is a few hundred million, owners cant be too carefull,

just look at leeds uFC ( MY CLUB ) imagine the owner still use D.M next season, pump in another 200m, yet they still fail to get in top 4??
