Those who had the monies to change car probably have changed already.

Those who have scrapped cars may have already bought their new cars already or decided not to buy or buy 2nd hand.

So I sincerely hope prices go down slowly

Actually, I don like when COE drops...

IMO, I think COE should be at least have a minimum premium for each Cat.

Why I am saying this is not because I already own a car or I am very rich...

Yes, someone might say it is a need or it is a luxury or whatever... but the problem is the land in sillypore is small, the quality for the drivers is getting su*k and last but not least I blame the garment.

I did not blame the garment for the sake of it... I blaming them becos they seem they like a chicken running without head regarding the issue...

pretty tough for this to happen.

COE is not like private property or HDB flats.

there is continous supply of people wanting to buy cars......

I think the downtrend will continue, which is good for everyone. When prices move upwards, ppl start chasing it, fearing it will go higher and beyond reach. When prices start coming down, everyone start pulling back, waiting for it to go lower before entering. How low will it go is everyone's guess. Make sense?

More changes coming - ST is beating the drums of change already.

Two articles this week - one about distance charging for ERP and then another today that the current swathe of taxes doesn't make sense - that fuel tax and distance tax are the two most relevant.

Wonder if soon really move to make huge changes to COE.

But anyway -

After the new rules come into effect - Cat B will be very very crowded.

I think parking tax will be in the picture also

whether or not, when these 3 are in place, car prices will remain / shoot high is not the point, they will make driving, filling up, parking expensive enough to make drivers think twice, and knowing that it is not easy to make singaporeans thinking twice before buying their cars, it will have to take lots of $$$$ from their wallet to make them think twice

Cat B won't be crowded la....

It's the agents bringing in small cars to crowd the Cat A

The agents just need to bring in models with less bhp

Eg. CLA200 in Cat B then bring in CLA180 lor...
