Watwheels Supersonic November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 (edited) For robbers that is. http://www.relax.com.sg/article/news/backpacker-of-30-years-says-kl-is-most-dangerous-place-he-has-ever-been-to Backpacker of 30 years says KL is most dangerous place he has ever been to. A backpacker from the United Kingdom has visited countries like Africa and Yemen, but picks Kuala Lumpur as the most dangerous place he has ever been to. Dave Ramsay had related his experience about being stabbed and mugged in the city on travel site Virtual Tourist. The incident took place near Hard Rock Cafe in Jalan Sultan Ismail on Oct 5. Dave was stabbed in the chest and then slashed across the arm with a knife, before the robber fled with his bag. Dave said there was no regard for his life since he was attacked before being robbed, instead of the other way round. However, his ordeal did not end there. Not only did it take 30 minutes to reach a hospital as most taxis did not stop for him after seeing blood, police were also ineffective and inefficient. According to Dave, security at local venues did nothing. Tourist police also did not ask anything about the robber and only produced a report for an insurance claim, making the victim feel they had no interest in pursuing the criminal. Dave even called the tourist police office a "conveyor belt of victims coming in". "This place needs avoiding big time. I have travelled to Africa, Yemen, and SE Asia for nearly 30 years and I am not a squeamish person but I genuinely believe this to be the most dangerous place I have been to, due to the vast number of incidents and the frequency of them. It's epidemic," wrote Dave. It's a stark contract to what was reported in 2011. http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2665412-malaysia-ranked-top-safest-country/ Edited November 25, 2013 by Watwheels ↡ Advertisement

Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic November 25, 2013 Share November 25, 2013 Even their polis force cannot be trusted ..... yahoo news: Horror suicide photos leaked, cops on trail KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 — Federal police are to investigate how a picture of a 20-year-old student who set himself on fire on Saturday made its way to blogs and social networking sites. Ironically, pictures of the charred remains of the student found on the balcony of his home were taken only by the police. A Bukit Aman spokesman said: “This is about control of information within the force and an internal investigation will be conducted.” The spokesman said only the official police photographer was allowed to take pictures. “The student’s father had warned police to be careful with the pictures as he did not want a repeat of the incident where the video of AmBank officer Norazita Abu Talib, who was shot dead during a robbery on October 23, went viral,” said the spokesman. The student, who returned home for a holiday on November 9, is the son of a corporate figure. Separately, the youth’s mother yesterday made an impassioned plea to stop the spread of the photo. “We request to the public and media to co-operate and show respect during this painful time,” she pleaded. She found her son on the balcony of the family condominium in Taman Tun Dr Ismail at 4am. Police sources said interviews with friends of the deceased told a story of desperation. The first-year economics and political studies student at the University of Otago in South Island, New Zealand, was believed to have made a dancer there pregnant. The police were told that student paid a large sum of money for the abortion which the dancer did not agree to. Among the items found near his body was a handphone — where one of the last text messages sent to a friend read: “See you on other side”. Police also found a poem stored in the victim’s pendrive of an implied message of his intention to die. Brickfields police chief ACP Muhammad Azlee Abdullah said a personal problem led to his death.
