Lorry hit by car

This morning at about 905am, at PIE towards changi, near paya lebar exit, a gold coloured sedan (either camry or honda) moved from 1st to 4th lane and as a result, hit the front right side of a lorry travelling innocently at normal speed at the 4th lane. The traffic then was extremely light and in all likelihood, the car did not check blind spot.

I was on the 1st lane and the golden car was behind me until it decided to do a four lane change while picking up speed. To the lorry driver, if the driver plays punk and try and say its your fault, let me know,I can be a witness. The fault is clearly his.

Reporting of Traffic Violation

To report traffic violations, the following necessary ingredients must accompany the violation reports, namely:

1.
The full registration number of the vehicle of which the driver/rider is alleged to have committed a traffic violation

While the make and colour of the vehicle, if provided, may be advantageous to the investigation process, only the FULL registration number is required.

2.
The date, time and location of the alleged offence

Location of the alleged offence should be relatively precise (e .g Pan-Island Expressway in the direction of Tuas before the exit into Adam Road, Central Expressway in the direction of Ayer Rajah Expressway at the 5KM mark, etc). Date and time of the alleged offence must be provided accurately.

3.
The circumstances leading to the alleged offence

This refers to the circumstances leading to, during, and after the alleged offence (e.g . the lane which the drivers/riders were traveling on, traffic condition, manner of driving/riding, etc).

4.
Confirmation of willingness to testify in court should the offender dispute the alleged offence

This refers to the informant's willingness to testify in court should the offender dispute the offences alleged against him/her.

5.
Full particulars of the informant

This refers to the full name (as in NRIC or passport), NRIC or passport number (work permit or employment pass numbers may be accepted), address (residential or mailing but "PO Box" addresses should not be accepted), contact number (residential/office number accepted but mobile number preferred) and email address (if any) of the informant. These details will enable the IO to contact the informant (if need be) expeditiously.

6.
Presence of corroborative evidence

Corroborative evidence such as video recordings/photographs with the correct date and time stated or the presence of independent witness who can testify to the alleged violation must be available. Photo and/or video evidence submitted in relation to the incident must be sufficiently clear so as to identify the nature of the alleged offence as well as parties involved. Particulars of independent witnesses refer to the name and contact information (e.g. telephone number, email address, etc) of any independent witness (es).

Please help the lorry uncle. The Camry driver is likely to lie and say the lorry changed lane and hit him. Save an innocent and see a liar to hell.

You can email GIA and let them know you witnessed the accident. They can inform the lorry's insurer to defend if Camry lied and claim against the lorry.

If he stopped, he would have to do the same 4-lane filter stunt.

Exactly. At lane 1 speed and rear view, thumbs ups to whoever can read the car plate number of the rear vehicle, double thumbs up to those who can read the vehicle plate numbers of vehicles 4 lanes to their left. My post is simply an effort on my part just in case the driver or someone who knows the driver reads this. Those with brighter ideas, do remember next time to do what u preach.
