Toothiewabbit Supersonic November 24, 2013 Share November 24, 2013 (edited) Whoa!!! By beating the red light, he got to stop behind the next queue about 6 secs ahead of you....that's awesome man!!! Edited November 24, 2013 by Toothiewabbit
Yewheng Twincharged November 24, 2013 Share November 24, 2013 Maybe he was not concentrating and think of other thing, and because the next traffic light is not too far away and also red light. He may have take notice of red light further ahead and miss the nearer one.

Well, it does happen, not only to him but also others who are driving. Sometimes it just subconscious that the driver may not realise it although the chances of it happening is rare though. I mean, when there is a pack of cars stop at the red light ahead, and before that quite short distance, there is another red light. If driver is thinking of something and not concentrating, he may miss the red light nearer to him and thought there is only the red light further ahead. That is also why I feel, traffic light should not be place too close to each other to prevent such situation for happening. Hopefully that will put him off "diagonal crossing" for a while, getting to be a bit of a nuisance.
Evilpig Clutched January 9, 2014 Share January 9, 2014 Just wondering......for this video i've uploaded. If the cyclist panick, swerve to my side and got run over (touch wood), will i be liable for failing to keep a proper look out etc kind of charges? Just continue to drive and say you thought it's a tree branch. Jokes aside. If you do everything correctly and check properly, but things happen where it's not your fault and can't avoid... why would you be liable? Unless the cyclist 'turn around' and claim it's your fault. This is where the video evidence is important and it will also be good to get a witness maybe from the car behind you. You might not be able to claim vehicle damages from cyclist though. PSP415 Supersonic March 24, 2014 Share March 24, 2014 Kudos to the man for his effort. It's a dicey situation when the other vehicle from opp direction seems to be clueless and rushed thru. Drive safe and do be patient/alert to wait at such crossings. It's only a few more seconds and surely no need to send anyone to queue up at hell's gate before their time. Cheers ↡ Advertisement
