Lol, you already said should lo, if people can predict the future of the coe price, i believe many would have buy/change car in 09. Would not be so many people now got stuck with their current 'old' car.

I think whether the coe drop, maintain or increase, many people still will buy the new altis lo, cause main reason it is an altis and a toyota. Even with the current altis, there are still many people buy even the coe is $70-90K.

Very true, I see more and more new altis on the roads nowadays. Quite amazing really, the selling power of this car and the Toyota brand.

Cause it is a toyota lo. Not only altis, even the new camry sales also not bad, see many new camry on the road too.

You think BM will be so dumb to remove one of their highest selling model?

Hard to say, they might replace with another model?! Even the well known brand name of corolla also changed halfway to altis, people still accept and continue buying like hot cakes! Lol.

You see the once highest selling model sunny that nissan sell, nissan also can stop selling liao.

I'm not sure what u all meant.

But I don't see THAT many new altis or camry on the road.

I do still see them, but much much lesser.

In fact, I see more new c class and 3er

Meaning among jap make and despite the current super high coe, toyota cars like altis and camry still popular with many buyers. Many people still buy them regardless how high the coe is. You dont get to see other jap make cars still as popular as toyota during this super high coe era. Although many people now favour and buy conti cars more.

I think the price between altis and civic is a lot, so dont think people will buy honda. Esp between toyota and honda, toyota still a much more established and prefer household brand.

well, i guess this is in preparation for the upcoming model. some companies, especially continental ones, sell the new model alongside the old. borneo has no incentive to do that as they can clear their stock and there's no need to give discounts.

i remember back in late 2003 when the first altis was coming, the G9 corolla was also off the price list for some time. altis price was available upon request but not officially on the list yet, and the real car didn't come until 2004.
