Just another burger, but terribly expensive at more than $6+?? For the meal, I mean. Or is this like the norm now?

ok lah, if you eat at hawker centre, a main dish, a cup of drink and a piece of goreng pisang would cost more than that.

Kudos to these fast food joints for their well marketed new product launches. Somehow the actual product doesn't quite meet expectations set by all the hype. The BK Rendang burger was a true revelation though!

Tried it this afternoon. Real shrimp in breaded patty. Curry fries ok. Tango fizzy ok. But still preferred mos Ebi burger. Maybe it's time to intro other staples than bread?

And savory sauces instead.

I have succumb to their marketing, and tried it just now. Not bad. the fillet is not as big as the bun as shown on TV, but at least real prawn inside. crunchy too.

I normally don't take fast food but when I had this over the weekend, it's really quite good. The main problem is not with the burger but with the humongous amount of FAT in the fries and soft drink.

Example of the power of good marketing. I do try to avoid fast food but after countless time of watching the tv ad, i bought one over the weekend and i will say it is quite nice. Crunchy but a little too small. Price is a bit steep (around 8 plus). But still, not quite enough to make it to the "must eat fast food when it is available" list. Right now only Samurai and DBL down made it to the list.

Bro, I agree that the Samurai burger is a MUST EAT.

So what is DBL?

I find most of the Mcdonald's Season burger are all rather good, except for the McAloo Tikki. I would not have touch Mcdonald if not for them.

For me, the rendang takes top spot, it reminds me of the same rendang as previously offered by BK.

EBi, it also on the top for me now. Can eat them again anytime. They are generous with the amount of prawn inside.

Finally!

Thanks for responding. I always recommend to friends who visit HCMC to try the shrimp burger. Those who like prawns tend to like it.
