Foldable side mirror... is it serviceable?

yayayayaya..........manage to get this ws to repair my spolit left mirror last nite.

 

They replace the gear and its now working well.

 

Cost $80 which not so bad lar.

I also went to the workshop advertised.

 

Repaired my side mirror for 80 bucks too. just change the gear inside.

 

Lucky no need to change the whole thing

I bought a pair of almost new side mirrors for my Corona last time from a scrapyard for only $100/pr.

If got sound probably its the gear spolited. If its the motor spolit, there wont be any sound nor movement.

 

i oversee the job. Need to dismantle the door panel to disengage some wiring to remove the whole mirror to replace the gear.

 

About 30 mins job, but have to wait for your turn lor. Cos they take in quite a number of cars to do other things.....even at 6.30pm.

 

I reach there about 6.30pm, left the place 8.15pm $80 poorer but very happy lor.

 

Why dont you call them and ask........

 

 

Mine left and right lei... means $160 ??

Scarpyard quite far from my place also lei. Can only buy it over weekends. Waste time n petrol.

 

I'll rather pay 80 bucks settle at this ws 10mins drive from my house. On a normal weekday evening without taking leave. Damn worth it lor. Hehehehe.

The side mirrors colour was different so I waited til I had some spray painting to my car then I asked the shop to re-spray them n install for me free of charge. Hee.
