hmmm... means to rig the needle, workshop just take out original float and replace with a new float?

seem to be the same process with mine rite? if that's the case, means float is sold seperately? wats the market rate for rigging the needle then?

The fuel pump and fuel filter can be bought separately to be replaced individually. So it means the fuel sender is also a separate item.

However, it takes some labour to separate them, especially it there are interlocking plastics.

It takes quite a bit of effort to pry open the plastics without breaking them, when I change my fuel filter that time.

Maybe your ws doesn't like to do that and quote you whole piece.

There is a electrical connector there. If you try to rig a fixed resistance, you could put a switch there to toggle between it and the fuel sender. Market rate I dunno.

If you rig a fixed resistance with a switch, its easy to get caught when they check. The safer method is to bend the wire holding the float so that when the fuel tank is near empty, the needle will be at 3/4. So whenever you drive and see your needle reaching 3/4 you know you need to pump already.
