I think lexus is in blindspot when he speed up. Altis continue change lane thought it's clear. Then buang, altis back off can swing left abit and still want to change to 1st lane, but he seems to no wanting to slow down a lot to slot behind lexus ( perhaps side by side pointing finger at Lexus or scolding Lexus for causing the accident ). Lexus being big ego and very angry with the accident, could not control his emotions few seconds later and start want to hit back altis no matter what, altis saw it coming, swing left a little bit and thought okay, have space for Lexus to pass from, and never expect Lexus to continue push and buang on his side door and still pushing.

 

Lesson learn -

 

Altis:

Should always check blindspot when changing lane.

When met with mad driver, please dont waste time drive side by side to f--k the person back, as the other driver may turn insane and do unexpected of what a normal driver will do.

 

Lexus:

Don't always think the world is owing him something. Like the altis want chang3 to 1st lane in front of him, he also buay song. + big ego will cause him trouble one day.

Always dun let anger control the actions, always stay calm even if met with accident so as not to do crazy actions which may endanger other drivers.

I suspect the Lexus actually did the PIT maneuver because he thought the Altis was trying to hit and run, as the Altis showed no signs of stopping, after the accident . The Lexus was getting stuck behind slowing traffic on Lane 1, and he saw the Altis going on his merry way after the accident and must have thought "Dafuq! The fcker trying to run away. I gotta stop him!" and then whamo!

Funny thing ...... all these happen with a police car nearby.

 

Lexus "lau lan" and ALTIS "kayu" ..... which resulted in the "silly accident".

 

The Lexus should just be more gracious and not speed up to close the gap. The ALTIS should not assume that once u signal = right of way.

 

IMO, the ALTIS is more guilty than the LEXUS.

Ended up still have to be inconvenience: ah ga bin ji ji with the other party, file insurance, send for repairs & wait for repairs (sometimes days or even weeks and lucky if insurance package got courtesy car) before getting your ride back.

 

Unless folks have agenda & gleefully waiting for this once-in-a-million chance to do some "repairs" as well

I can forgive lack of knowledge, stupidity, misperception or lack of awareness but malice is something that I find very difficult to excuse or forgive.

I think it is the culture of the country and people as well as due to the socio-economic environment.

 

not just kiwis, Australians were also generally ok. even the americans were ok. singaporeans are generally very stressed up and live each day in hurry and like constantly fighting for themselves. that's why this has manifested even in our driving and of course, Chinese generally are more competitive.

 

but having said that, generally there is such less petty manoeuvres in such countries when driving in the urban area rather than city area. which brings me to the second point. generally, the more crowded the roads are, people tend to drop one notch their graciousness in driving. and Singapore roads are mostly city like in density so that kinds of partially explain the phenomenon.

agree on the red highlighted. In countries of bigger suburban area, they hardly see another vehicle on the road, will be friendly to each other...

example when I drive in suburbs outside Sydney vs driving in the city, I do notice the difference in level of graciousness.

In a short clip, you can see all sort of drivers:

1. Slow vehicle but yet need to travel in the middle lane

2. KPO (on the first lane)

3. Blur driver who needed to turn right at expressway (definitely not familar with the road - if he continued in the second lane, he who have overtaken the Lexus and turned into the expressway, unless he wanted to do a u-turn)

4. Aggressive driver who doesn't want to let anyone into his/her lane (he could have zoom to lane 2 and be on his way)

5. Cars who leave a lot of spaces in between while waiting to turn right

but the funny thing is in BKK and JKT or even KL nowadays, they dun really care when stuck in the jam or they have given up and it is just their daily life to be stuck in the jam for 3 hours.
