haha yeah, it's all in the past.

Anyway thumbs up to arsenal this season. Well deserved front runners. We'll see if they can maintain until xmas.

that is for GS to worry, lol

our concern is that every international break we drop by one position.

I thinkb

We need midfield visionary to provide the linkup from back to front; this is where current Arsenal's strengths at.

Not to play down the contributions made by SG in the past years, but one cannot but acknowledges that he is over the hill. We need more SGs version 2.0.

I sincerely hope that SG can prove my bleak assessment of him wrong, but my worry is that he can't.

Our ah pek Gary Mac, Jan Mobly, Sourness.

Turbocharged

SG need to sit down and think how he can contribute to the current mf lack of control...

Lucas will be 1st choice, right now Henderson energy and versatility is required. to me, he do not need to learn much on a MF position, call Alonso and asked ;p

he can play deep lying playmaker role. Pace and power not required. Sometimes subtle passes required, but must be able to spot and play the long incisive pass.

of course he need to contribute when pool do not have the ball… JA can come in alternate with SG for this to work.

The difference between arse n pool is the understanding, we all indicate give arse space and they will murder us, but during the match, arse play the game on one touches.. easily out play out 3 CM who have no idea how to stop being monkey.

BPL is never won by defensive / counter attacking teams… probably, everyone tries to be tight when playing challengers. but when it comes to 'weaker oppo", the champs simply turn up, go back with 3 points. best way of defence may be attack, but best way of attach is also defence. need pace, control and understanding of each player for the team to go from own box to oppo box in 3 sec.

Gary McAllister and Molby are cool heads... SG is "fiery" type...

Souness left at 31..

BR should just appoint him as part of coaching staff and put him a player coach

then he can have good excuse to stay out first 11

when need him to come in to boost midfield then send him in....

even if we do not have the vision or creative flair... we should have the ability to keep the ball and stop opponent from playing...

ok guys...time for another wkend of games. wat do u think will the starting line up be. i would love to see enrique n johnson back in the team. but is enrique available? my 2 choices of starting 11 will be:

1) mignolet - johnson, toure, skrtel, enrique - henderson, lucas (CMs) - suarez (RF), coutinho (AM), moses (LF) - sturridge

2) mignolet - toure, skrtel, agger - johnson (RW), henderson, lucas (CMs), enqrique (LW) - coutinho (AM) - suarez, sturridge

I would love to see Aspas featured again. Why doesn't he deserve another chance while our Capt Ah Lao given numerous chances ?

Different. Our captain is using the "live" he earn before. When "live" run out also game over.

If Man U wins tonight they will have 20pts and will be back among the top few teams but on the upside, our loss to Arse last week would be somewhat "mitigated" (i.e. we gained back some ground on them provided we win our match). If Man U loses they will remain outside the top few runners (maybe falling away further depending on how other results go) while Arse could possibly stretch their lead further from us (if we don't win our game). If draw then things remain more or less the same.

So question is: what is your preferred result? Man U or Arse victory or draw?

Of cos a draw is best. It means our rivals will drop 2 pts each...

Aspas is injured I think

The key question is who will start? Gerrard or Coutinho or Moses?

I think BR will start Gerrard. And Coutinho will be on the bench. BR has another midfield headache I.e. Allen

Yes draw is the obvious choice BUT to some extent if Arse can win and kick man u further down and it helps to further damage 1 of the rival's chances and to that extent, we will have less 1 rival to contend with. Not sure if u get what I mean.

That leaves a lot for Allen to live up to but Rogers insisted: “I would have paid many millions more for this kid. He’s unique in that he’s a British player who is incredible on the ball.

“His body work is very intelligent and for a 22-year-old it’s frightening. He’s incredible.”

then why can't he get into the team? [:p]

I wonder how many attachicon.gif200px-SuperMushroom.png SG have ? [laugh]

LOL.

Anyway hope to see Joe Allen playing some time. He has had a long lay off from injury, should let him get some gametime now before the season starts to get into the Xmas period.
