I actually feel that it is exciting times at Liverpool right now. With Gerarrd out of the picture (at the moment) Rodgers can actually showcase his tactical versatility. If Liverpool are to progress forward, he should actually give lesser playing times to Gerrard. However, Gerrard could come in handy as a sub if Rodgers need to slow down the intensity of the game or keeping the ball. There is no better time to start 'rebuilding' then right now, with the busy christmas period facing 2 of the title contenders. The results will actually pann out how we are progressing or regressing this season.

 

Our first team is actually good enough to tackle any team but its the lack in depth that could hamper where we finish in the table. Good to know that Lucas is only 22 and being around the first team for at least 5 years. With Henderson an able deputy to the former Gerrard (with his tireless running and spraying of passes) in the middle and Allen pressing down the opponents, it actually frees up our attacking fullbacks and Coutinho to express themselves offensively. I think it is also a smart move from Rodgers to actually tie up players on loan rather than buying them right off to see how his system works. At the same time, letting our youngsters gaining more playing time elsewhere. Hopefully we can come out strongly at the end of the year to still be there among the chasing packs. YNWA!

the line up n formation in the spurs game is wat suit the team at the moment. for this busy period, i think rodgers should jus stick with it. with 3 CMs, they r able to handle opponent's midfield. this will be very impt in the chelsea n man c game where both teams hv superb midfielders.

As Lucas lawyer in Mcf he is getting back too his best soon. And normally Lucas is good against only good teams. Cause lesser team long ball over him.

While I agree that Spurs were shockingly poor but their midfield trio of Dembele, Sandro and Paulinho is one of the best in the premier league. Maybe they had an off day against Liverpool. Meanwhile, Yaya Toure, is the engine room for Man City. Shut him up and we are evenly match. While the other players in Man City have good attacking tributes, they don't track back as much as Yaya Toure. His brother Kolo might give some hints on how to unlock their defence.

 

On the other hand, Chelsea is unpredictable. We never know which Chelsea will show up against us. That is a tricky one. I think Mourinho finds his 2nd stint as manager tougher than expected. Suddenly the premier league top 8 teams are evenly match instead of the top 4. I expect at least 4 points from the next 3 games...

I think its the same if you don't score, you don't win. See how you look at the half filled glass.... Cardiff is no pushover. Apart from the stingy owner, they are having a good season themselves. They beat Man City in a closely fought contest earlier part of the season right?

That's why I think we are thinking too far. Let's see this match first then discuss the next.

 

Anyway, against all team.. The first thing is to not loss then look at winning.
