Admittedly it looks conservative the new Axio, but at a price cheaper than even the Vios, its a no brainer if you have to get a Toyota.

When driving you dont see how it looks from the outside [:)]

good choice of words & good thinking in the box.

But couple of slight aes mods should do the trick.

I guess the price is attractive for a toyota sedan in this current COE pricing.

But gosh it's ugly based on the picts. the last model looked more normal. Yup it's a no brainer.

But having driven a axio and an altis before. I have to say even though the cabin space is similar, the refinement of the car is quite different.

On a sidenote, why is the sgcarmart popup so irritating ... it comes up after every picture u see in the car gallery. WTH... [furious][furious][furious][furious]

Refinement in the Axio's favour?

Well, they have to earn right? [flowerface]

no. the altis is definitely more refined. I guess its minor.

Body roll, sound proofing are all better in the '08 altis compared to the axio.

Suspension feels the same. Pickup is faster with the CVT though (Axio is lighter by about 100kg though)

I 'm not a fan of the toyota CVT gearbox compared to a regular AT. Granted i've not driven other CVT vehicles...

I'm ok with a popup if u change pages... but i'm trying to look at 3-4 photos within their photo gallery and the popup comes up every time (cos the page changes). i mean it's annoying.

U would have figured that the advertising people would have figured that everyone hates popups but don't really mind banners.

It's like when would i ever buy something from someone who puts their pamphlet on my windscreen forcing me to remove it from my wipers everyday.

the new vios looks too crowded... like too many things on a small body... dont like...

Come to think of it, the new Axio looks to have similar proportions to the Latio sedan [grin]

The 2014 new altis has launched here! Looking at the pictures, the design seems like a bigger version of the new vios and the front looks like the current city?! Price is $133K. But quite surprise to find there are two option, dark interior colour and the normal beige colour.

Overall i still prefer the interior of the previous generation altis than this new altis.

Thinking why toyota change altis 4at to CVT gearbox? Think some people dont really like driving a CVT car.

Elantra price now dropped to $107k? Thought this pricing is for k3?

I'm one of those who doesn't like cvt feel... Test drove the new sylphy with cvt, quite Ok with the norm speed but no chance to Rev it hard at high speed... I know I hate how airwave feel like when I Rev it hard... Just hate those feeling especially when I need to drop gear to overtake at high speed...

Actually mitsubishi cars have been using CVT gearbox long ago. Agreed that CVT is good for normal speed, but not for high speed. Thinking if the new altis with CVT gearbox still attract tons of people to buy?
