Crosswind 1st Gear March 21, 2015 Share March 21, 2015 I am referring to those that book after the CNY period( 2nd bid of Feb) which is the lowest booking price. I presume he booked after the 1st bid of Mar which the booking price is higher so have more luck. I did not follow the altis pricing closely, but just based on the COE price to make the assumption, so I may be salah. What you think the COE price will be for the next round? haha best way to see things is see the crowd at show room.....the more ppl at show room = not so good news unless all doing window shopping which is highly unlikely ↡ Advertisement

subarudreamer 2nd Gear March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 (edited) 100k for classic and 107k for elegance were from the same CNY sales batch on the post CNY weekend. it was rumoured that 600 altis were sold in those 2 weeks? what is unknown is how many have already converted to guaranteed and backlog has been cleared. a forummer earlier mentioned that for his SE, 8 out of 20 have converted to guaranteed and gotten their coe? using a simple and naive calculation, 240 cleared, 360 to go? not sure what is the situation with the other hot seller, nissan qashqai 1.2 though. Ktglfc Hypersonic March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 Bro I suppose you got the 5 years free servicing also right? Is it worth to pay the extra for servicing then? What's the default type of engine oil used at 1000km? Yup, I got the 5 years free servicing or 100,000km whichever comes first... Since it "free", better just go back to BM for servicing... no harm, I feel :) Not too sure what is the default type, not too sure whether its mineral or not... But I just asked them to change to synthetic one, used up 1 bottle and 1/5 on the 2nd bottle... Getting more used to Altis now :)) Driving is smooth and acceleration is smooth ... fuel efficiency for me still stand at 13.2km/l though...
Nissan833 5th Gear March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 How's Altis fuel consumption for bros who have gotten this model? My neighbour complain poor FC lol.. he say best was 14km/L but average reading on his trip computer is 13 and must drive very conservatively.

If yours has a lot of city driving, it is not a fair comparison. 50% highway 50% city would be more fair. My neighbour 13-14km/L is 70% highway 30% city. Last 5 tanks. 14.19 km/L 13.10 km/L 13.08 km/L 13.18 km/L 15.13 km/L Trip computer usually shows slightly better. If drive conservatively, I would think mileage would be better. IMHO, there are many technical factors that contributes to good FC like tyre pressure or type of petrol. Edited March 22, 2015 by Kklee

Mine was 50% each, and am now at 13.2km/l. Was way below what SE had told me at 16... Since run in period, so I guess may not be that zhun ... Will monitor for the next 2 weeks, since just out of 1000km service, which by right should be in tip top condition, with engine and tyres pressure. Ktglfc Hypersonic March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 Just wondering for those that have beige colour leather seats, how do you maintain? How do you clean the easily-spot-dark patches on seats? Heard from Service guy that can use moisturizing wipes... Wonder whether ok or not. Thanks for advices :))

Leather is okay with water moisture and oil (leather conditioner) but not alcohol. I usually stay away from light coloured leather.. there will be colour transfer from jeans. I always wear jeans.

Borneo uses 10w-40 or 5w-40. If 5w-20 or 0w-20 is used you will come closer to the 16km/l. Engine oil type makes a difference too. As with use of Aircon and highway use.
Spring Moderator March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 It's amazing when u guys can clock 13 or even 14. My first tank stands at 10 only. Mostly city driving. Although I'm not driving the new Altis, I also get 10km/l thereabouts for 70/30 city driving. Whilst i know it's not a good comparison as mine is 5yr old Civic 1.6, point I'm trying to make is that it really depends on where your usual driving is. Lots of short trips etc will incur heavier consumption for sure whereas some guys travel a lot on highway as they living in the outskirts eg to/fro PIE, ECP, AYE, KPE so it's really hard to compare. Anyway I believe this new Altis is quite miserly on fuel so just enjoy, cheers!!

Kangadrool Supersonic March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 (edited) The engine is meant for enthusiastic pick up. Please ask him to accelerate briskly, and not conservatively. The faster you pick up speed, the less time the car is on "low gear"=better FC. If traffic light first car, die die must LOOOOOOOT one. naturecaller 3rd Gear March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 So far the FC indicator states just 9.2km/L, after 150km mileage for my first week of OPC usage.. mostly urban driving i must say.. seems like i'll hit the 1 mth mark earlier than the 1000km mark ↡ Advertisement
