Driving license lost

Bag was stolen and lost my driving license among other things. Is it possible to apply for a replacement online or do I have to go to ubi? Also, must the photo be a hard copy or can I give them a soft copy photo? Thanks.

Hi guys,

 

I'm probably asking a silly question but is it necessary to have a physical driving license nowadays in such a computerized world? I mean, if I only carry around an NRIC when I drive, would it be fine?

 

Reason I ask is I seem to have misplaced my driving license for quite sometime without me realizing it...

It's absolutely necessary coz some ppl hold multiple classes of driving license. If I only hold class 3 but go drive something that's class 4 how will my IC say anything about that?

 

You are finding excuses for not replacing yours coz you are too lazy to do so. If you drive everyday, how not to keep it by your side all the time?

By right you have to carry your driving licence when you drive. But by left you cannot be penalise by not carrying your licence, since you have a valid driving licence in their system. Lol.

Cannot penalise doesn't mean they can't tekan you. What if TP wants you to go report to their HQ with your license personally on some other day? KNS. Right or not?

 

Actually if you see on US tv or movies, drivers are asked to show their license and registration w/o fail. Ours we just show driver's license. If one day their computer down or got glitch, ho say liao. Haha.... Good luck to you.

Lol... you're right.... finding excuse not to reapply... Wallet nowadays got so many cards, lost it also not surprising... Anyway, ok I'll still apply but in the meanwhile, I hope won't kena saman if happen to get stopped by traffic police...

If you don't have a driving licence with you, how to prove to the TP that you have a licence to drive?

 

Please carry it with you at all times, to save you trouble.
