You try buying casings and accessories for Samsung, LG phones in JP, they will tell you "no Han Kok no Han kok". I dun think so. Maybe he need to chk the size (Ah) for Optra first. Here any sales is good sales. Now I using Global MF batt. Made in Korea. But if the Jap made Yuasa price reasonable then I wil try next time. But I know Jap stuff mostly quite ex. Thats why ty also manufacture overseas to reduce costs. Thats why now u seldom see Made in Japan in the market. Price just too high.

Most likely need high CCA type and will die w/o warning like most Ang Moh Chias.

IIRC handbook says CCA abt 660. But now I use Global CCA only abt 550 but still OK. Chevy under GM so similar to all the GM cars. Vauxhall, Holden, Opel, etc. But GM OEM battery is AC Delco but now it seems like AC Delco battery sucks. I wil try the Yuasa MIJ battery if its not too ex. Otherwise I just stick with the Global MIK.

Chucky2007 Turbocharged November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 My 1 year old Korean batt is a little bloated at the side and slight leak at the top (which have corroded the metal holder and turned it flaky). What's happening to the battery?
Kb27 Supersonic November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 My 1 year old Korean batt is a little bloated at the side and slight leak at the top (which have corroded the metal holder and turned it flaky). What's happening to the battery? Check your alternator voltage. If more than 16V, it is overcharging battery, boiling away the electrolyte and will make it bloat. However, Mr GSYuasa recommended Midac battery here, so I'm a little bit confused
GSYuasa Neutral Newbie November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 Mr GSYusa recommend their Midac battery for Conti cars but have yet to answer bro P69 questions Sorry bro, as I was confirming the size of the battery with our supplier, you could use our Midac S2-62Ah dimension 242x175x190 price should be around S$140-150. However, currently there is no stock from all of our dealers the new stock will be available by end Nov. We recommend that you use DIN size battery, because your car battery compartment was designed for bottom hold battery, meaning your battery had to be tighten from bottom, which DIN battery having this design. All Japan Standard -JIS battery were designed with top hold, which means to be tighten with a bracket on the top. You could use our Japan made ECO-R 80D23L - 69Ah, around S$140-150 as well, provided your car technician able to modified the holder at your battery compartment to hold the battery.
