Knoobie Supercharged October 16, 2013 Share October 16, 2013 a tank of compressed CO2 is quite huge and heavy! while manufacturer tries ways to lighten the car and increase cabin space, this tank is definitely something that is going against them. A small tank may not have sufficient to fight the fire when it occurs..

Kb27 Supersonic October 20, 2013 Share October 20, 2013 (edited) if the ballast installaion is poor or poor quality, it probably will blow. Poor quality of ballast will overheat and blow. I've seen one that blew a 15A fuse although it claims to consume less than 6A, luckily for that owner. If no fuse, then overheat and blow and car catch fire, especially those that wire directly to the battery.
