went overseas for one week..come back my car must kick-start..after that I realize my foldable side mirror go ding dong alr..doesnt fold back to original position..anyone know whats wrong? isit totally spoiled alr?? toyota vios

If 1 week car need to jumpstart, means yr battery going to spoil n weak.

 

Maybe thats why the mirror never work properly or cud b the motor or mechanisim inside spoil.

 

If after u change battery n still the same, better to get it checked at a relaible ws.

 

Sometimes it just needs a bit of lube spray inside to loosen up the mechanism cos the grease dry n harden.

 

I spray some lube spray inside every few years to keep all the moving parts lubed for a smooth operation.

check your mirror if got the clicking sound( non-stop sound), if yes mostly gears problem. need to change the motor, if does not have can check the electronics.

For nissan teana it cost me 70$ to change the motor due to some wiring issue short circuit it.

Bro. Go to settings and in one of the template u just need to turn on the foldable side mirror again. There could also be other settings tt went back to factory setting. Choose what u like to have.

If u have t car manual, the instructions are inside.

If all these don't work, guess need to get professional help.

I have this same problem. The motor makes the turning sound but its not folding. Can you share me where did you make the repair coz everywhere I go, they talk about $$ as they want me to change to entire side mirror for Toyota Rush.

 

Or anyone can help recommend me a place that can repair the folding motor.

MCF used to have a merchant tat can mod the side mirror to adjust downwards when engage in R gear.

 

Did a search recently, but can't seem to find it.

 

Anyone out there did this mod before? Hope tat someone can share the contact. Tks!
