Not sure if gearbox errors are stored in the ECU. If you're interested, I can use multiecuscan to read the errors to see what they are or check the live pressure reading (that's what I saw Peter do when my gears couldn't engage at all).

sounds good.. can u pm me your contacts?

wonder if any of the SS experts can give me some direction...

When:

1. At Cold start (or after parked for sometime)

Observation:

1. Car starts ok.

2. Gear shifts to N without issue.

3. Gearbox error appears on dash

4. During this period, will not engage gear

5. Error clears after around 10s.

6. Gears in and whole day driving and starting without issue 99% of the time.

Special note:

1. New SS pump

2. New SS accumulator.

Went to Eper, tried to look up the various drawings, not too sure what could be the issue.

Without your spcl note..

I have exactly the same issue...now I park at N gear

Hmmm I tot it's the ss pump issue..so might not be..

If it is the pump issue, and there is not enough pressure after u open the door, you cannot even fire up the engine. I would have to plug in the key.. wait all the whining and wheeing to be over... then i can start engine.

Now, i can fire engine without issue.. but gear have to stay in N until after error clears before i can gear into 1.

by right, you have park in 1 or R as stated in manual. I always park it geared in.

U need to park in gear.

If u park in N, the warning chime will sound when u switch off the engine.

But any damage done ah?

Just prevent rolling back rt?

Does that mean red light can handbrake in gear if too long?

Or only when engine is off?

I don't know if there's any damage done. I'm just following instructions and also to avoid hearing the irritating beeping sound.

At red light is always good to step on brakes so that if you get hit from some bobo driver behind you will less likely hit the car in front.

theres this 2x O-Ring in the actuator.. due to wear, O-ring could not hold the pressure to send the 'signal' to engage/disengage clutch.. for me, it was an hour job.. cost 4 blues.. u wan can pm me for contact and I send u the pic thru watsapp..

Thanks for sharing Count - no boot?

Think I saw in other reviews that there is a rear boot, just behind the engine. Other journos pitted the 4c against the cayman but these guys used a dune buggy for the challenge haha .. which is quite clever and takes the seriousness off the review. I mean the 4c reviews have been pretty bad, and Alfa fanatics are all over web trying defend the 4c. Edited by Count_duku

The Car review was pretty good and that is the one that matters

The size of the OEM satnav will not fit our non satnat dash. If you manage to find an OEM satnav, you need to purchase the dash for the OEM satnav too.
