the house always win ... ALWAYS !!!

whether coe is $70k $90k or $100k ... 1 bid guarantee ... 4/6 bids or 12 bids ... dealer wins ...

dealer job is to make money ... not charity ... take it or leave it

Only drop a bit...

still far too high for me. Next round, let's see what happens -

But if dealers really playing with 12 bids / $60k means they expect price to come down in new year - 12 bids really very long

Now that everybody go to "wait n see" mode govt can launch sneak attack again - to stop people from buying up ahead of time

Lol, i think eversince the coe went up from 2010 and quota cut from then until today, seems like many people still in 'wait n see' mode?! Maybe many people still hoping the coe will go down to 2009 era?!

Really is good news for CAT A.

It also looks like the total number of bids for each CAT are coming down too.

Perhaps this would mean that the downward trend would continue.

Good news for those waiting on the side. I am sure more people would flock to the showrooms this weekend. More good promotions, I guess. And when people collect their bonus, the COE will likely go up again.

Who ever said AD don't control and determine the COE price may be proven wrong today.

Now AD alll offers 60k rebate level with 12bids contract.

Look at today's Cat.A level.

What do you think?

AD is just collecting bookings and play wif 12 bids. This simply show tt AD are just as uncertain of COE price, which depends on buyers.

If booking is low, some buyers get their car at low Coe , but this will not stay long as more buyers will start to flock back into show room and push up subsequent Coe . Unless people are convinced to give up driving, wh look unlikely.

IMO, if quota remains low, Coe will never stay low in this island.

Right, tat why I say Coe will not stay low for long. those who booked before the Coe drops usually get the better deal

If all these potential buyers wait till 2014/2015, I don't see how Coe will drop n stay low Edited by Fastnfaster

those 1 bid guaranteed coe with rebate level at $80/85k last weekend for Cat A tan dio already.

from the number of bids received, seems like the orders are slowing down.

For most of these people (I am one of them), they are waiting and expecting the prices to fall and their budget(and expandable cash) is also correspondingly low.

Most of these people would have bought their current cars when COE was much lower and could have a reluctance to spend more. Of course, there's no telling how their incomes and family profile has changed in the past ten years.

These group of people could be the one who might not able to own a car, but bought a car back then due to super low coe. So the current car price is simply overbudget of what they can afford.

I guess if the person could afford to buy a car, no matter whether the car price is $40K or $100K, they will still go ahead to buy/change car.

No wonder when i bought my car (cheap coe) the dealer was really pushing for a sale! Cheap coe...not many buyers! That time my working place parking also got many lots avail. When coe went up more started to buy cars that now i get no lots even when i reached ofis at 730am. Everybody rushing to buy an expensive coe so that they can show that they can afford to buy a car even at sky high coe. Sgians must be nuts! Edited by Eviilusion
