Where To Eat Big Crabs In Sg

I am looking for eating places that sells big sri lanka crabs that are more than 2kg.

Besides house of seafood, any other recommendations?

 

Main criteria is not too crowded and not too expensive.

House of seafood price is ok, but very crowded ar.

Thanks bro, but both also damn crowded lei.

You can try crab party along yio chu kang road, opposite serangoon stadium. Not much crowd if this is your main concern.

zhen fa seafood at sunset way. very good. many diff type of crabs.

 

fav is the dungeness crabs. better than sri lanka

SG have meh? i remember eating it in fisherman's wharf San Frans. sibey fresh, shelf very soft n meat is super sweet [thumbsup]

What's the average market rate? $38 per kg consider cheap?

 

For sri lanka crab? $38 is cheap for restaurant.

House of seafood which is semi kopitiam, semi restaurant is already low $40+.

Bro, if you want good food, naturally it will be crowded. The only thing you can do then is to avoid peak hours.

 

If the place is not crowded even during peak hours, then something must be quite wrong.

You can get it at Pasar Bella , prices are very reasonable somemore . You can either choose to get them to boil it there for you or DIY yourself at home .

Personally I feel big crab not necessary the meat is tender,the meat can be old, I prefer mid size crab, I go for a small stall at geylang if I want crab, they serve selected meat crab and pass u chilly, wasabi & mayonnise, carb is prepare juz original, without another ingredient, so you can juz enjoy the crab itself.The other type of crab I like is the Teochew cold crab, shiosk.

I live very close to it. somehow i last ate there 20 yrs ago... Guess it's just not a place i think of going when wanting to eat crab...

somehow always go Long beach...
