Actually, there is Mt. Biang and the lesser known but equally challenging Mt. Perdayan.

Each mountain has its own unique characteristics and physical ascent features.

Those who been there can tell you training in Temburong is much than Biang and Perdayan put together.

For me, I will never forget the sight of fireants covering the valley floor of the jungle at night!

This is a REAL tropical jungle!

My experience back in 1998.

GPS can't work under the thick canopy. Need to climb up a knoll to get signal.

Before last light around 5 plus, out in the jungle you can hear the broadcast prayer.

After last light when you stretch out your hand, you can't even see your fingers.

never had the chance to go oversea trainings

my furthest was Tekong (jungle ambush at night also cannot see own hands and fingers)

this sounds silly but i really wished i had brunei jungle training as it'd be a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

If you had joined the navy, you will go overseas training so many times till you beg to stay in SG.

Patrol vessel - 3D2N cruise to nowhere, rest two days, back to 3D2N cruise to nowhere. Cycle continues non-stop. Twice or thrice a year visit some nearby countries.

Strike craft - 3D2N cruise to nowhere each week. Need to clock a certain sea mileage every month. Twice a year visit further countries.

Landing vessels - 3 months cruise to various countries in the world. Support various missions. You will see your ship mates more than your family members.

Breathing lung full of exhaust from some old Taiwanese US-made army truck during every nightly convey.

That nasty diesel smell always bring those sweet memories back.

Bitch please, the dust kicked up of the armored vehicles and dinner convoy in Wallaby is easily 10000 psi even n95 no use. Not to mention pure Detroit diesel exhaust smell from the AMX13s and M113s.

Diesel...yeah...
