I have doubts over the quality of the items sold through taobao. Ok for women accessories and clothing, but definitely not for health supplements or electronics. If an item bought from taobao is defective, I have no idea what is their return policy and who pays for the return. For Amazon, at least I know Amazon will pay for the return shipping and resend. They will also return my money if I decide to return the item for good. That's why they are setting up CS centre in sg. Give the system 1 yr.. and these policy will be in place... Basically taobao and other big online portal, the seller are self-regulated because of the rating system. If their failed to deliver their promise, they will get poor ratings. So go for the best rating & high volume seller, then the cheapest, you shld not go wrong.
