To add on to what Adrianli has said, that doesn't mean you don't have to bring it along.

I have some friends who don't even bring their licence out when driving in Spore let alone when driving into Malaysia. I have advised them against doing it.

While some may not carry their licence while driving in Singapore, it is advisable to have it with you when you are driving in another country since the authorities in the respective countries do not have access to such information about your driving eligibility. At the same time, do take note that some countries require your driving licence to be supplemented by an IDP (International Driving Permit) which is obtainable from AAS (Automobile Association of Singapore).

I've ever been "spotcheck" for license and insurance at tuas checkpoint, heading to 2nd link. No pulling aside, just stopped me along the lane before the fuel gauge check.

This was about 8 years ago, maybe they were bored or see me yandao. Hasn't happened since.

Sound advice to carry passport when in a foreign country as ID issued by origin country cannot be used to determine if a foreigner had entered illegally, overstay etc.. by the local authorities.

Then there would be jams to the entrance to the ferry terminal or train station http://www.mycarforum.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/bigcry.gif

Pre-booking and pre-paid with specific timeslots. One queue for cars with reservation, another for walk-ins. Walk-in data can be updated real time online to show available slots. $100 per vehicle with a 15% discount for pre-booking.

Loading point at Tuas South and offload near Pontian.

just want to vent....

approaching SG CIQ, u may be wayyy back in a long queue, but be patient, you'll move ahead.

MY CIQ, you can be less than 100metres from their customs, but you never know how many more car streams (not cars but car streams... like an entire road of cars) are cutting in ahead, and end up not moving an inch for hours....post-9528-0-80520300-1419495612_thumb.png

although in MY CIQ but 99% of the cars are sg-plate and sg-drivers especially return on long weekend/holiday ... it's not the CIQ ... it's the drivers

in spore ... all drive like pussy

in msia ... all suddenly become F1 drivers who can cut in/out anytime

i usually use 2nd link ... whenever i line up ... i can see all cars use bus lane to cut in at the tail end resulting what you mention you kwai kwai line up ... does not even move 10 meters after 1 hour

so ... 1 driver see other do it ... he also change lane and cut in at tail end

1 do ... 1 see ... 10 see 10 do ... resulting the scenario you decribe

every 1 lane split to 2-3 ...

I get really frustrated with this..... Wish they'd deploy a traffic police officer there to either take 50RM from those people or force them to redirect and go back towards MY.
