They are interviewing this Dr park about car ownership issues here. Many things are discussed. One of it erp. According to him erp $6 is cheap. Just share with you guy. Another rich people giving their view.

$5 is ineffective. Too little to do much makes it too much.

actually he is not wrong.

 

Those 50 cents or $1 erp, does anyone really think it is effective? How many drivers really bother about the 50 cents? More of like trying to pinch pennies than to solve the traffic problem.

 

IMO, all should start from min $5 up to $10 to see effect.

I totally agree.. Don't get me wrong, i'm not a fan of ERP, but it is a necessary evil on our roads..

 

Unless you want our roads to end up like Jakarta. 30 min journey (without jam) taking up to 3 hours is an everyday occurence here.

It's not going to make LTA popular, that's for sure.. But yeah, there'd be less congestion.
