If you look at the video above, this driver was aware and consciously beat the red light. Perhaps he did that to save some time but it's irresponsible of him to do that and endanger other drivers.

This ought to be taught a lesson.

doesnt look like he did it in purpose.

I also kenna before, sometimes thinking of something and the opposite traffic stop liao naturally thought its our turn to move off.

Then when move half way liao omg still red light. cannot back up or stop already so faster just zao!

No, i do not think you should report.

Drivers who ever made the same mistake will ask you to give him a chance.

Me ask you to give this driver a chance coz it seems that it wasn't his intention to beat the red light.

End of the day, TS just use your own judgement as to report or not lah.

All who responded to your post has got their own reasons and valid views.

Maybe still 7th month got something cover his eyes and replace with green lights.

If you can put yourself in his position, I mean literally in his car position, and imagine whether he could be seeing the other sets of lights which is green.

Sometimes big junctions the traffic light facing can be deceiving. But the SUV like never realise cos sometimes if I wanna go and other cars still stop, you know something is wrong. Maybe he chiong too fast just had to be decisive even when mistake was made, otherwise, stop also kanna bang from the sides.

I almost saw wrong lights on a few occasions, but still did not unintentionally cross the line as I realised in time.

Only I think once (a different scenario) in heavy rain where both me (driver) and friend (front passenger) totally missed the red light as there was another one just 30m away. And I was driving real slow because of the rain. We got the fright of our lives.

Don't report. Give him a chance. Doesn't look like he was intentionally trying to beat the lights and personally yes I have also been spaced out and did something similar but not at a cross junction.

Genuine errors do occur and I'm sure the driver must have been cursing himself the moment he realize the lights were still red.

Declaring his numberplate here ain't doing him any good too.

Do him a favor TS! (:

If u know in bangkok a traffic junction think around sathorn area, the traffic light is unpredictable.

My thai friend who drive said wtf cos front side 2x green, right side 2x green

And left side 4x green, yet our light still red. So in that junction we wait about 7-10 mins [laugh]

Exactly! People like to sit on their high horses without assessing the situation.

Give him a chance lah! Sometimes we also can be blur blur chiong traffic light, probably due to mis-judgement, or having a bad day in office or in bed....etc etc...

If the driver is purposely doing it, then even if he gets away from TP, he won't get away from his own conscience and the "ONE" above !!!

REPORT, if you do not mind providing your details to TP and to attend court session if the offender claim trial.

I would think report is better option for the errand driver to learn a lesson.. he/she may not be aware of this dangerous acts until it is review

So by reporting him/her, you are actually saving his/her life if this were to repeat

BengGaBoy,

Please report. The driver should suffer the consequences in blatantly flouting a traffic rule [rifle].
