Hi all,

I heard some ticking sound when the car is moving and it got more intense when the car is moving faster.

What could be the problem? I'm goin to change engine oil soon so I need to prep myself not to get tock by the ws.

Mileage:90k

Age: 8 year old

Changed the dunno cv joint or cap or something before 1 year ago.

Thanks :D

i had the same issue.......it was tracked down to a piece of metal stuck in my tyre groove, luckily no puncture yet cos' discover early by agent when i complain during regular servicing.

Does the freq increase with speed, almost no sound when u are rolling.....and comes only from one side of the car.....more audible during high speed. could be it....

Hi guys, im driving a Getz. Recently, upon travelling above 60km/h, there would be a fast tick tick sound. It seems to be coming from the driver side.

I have checked and confirmed that my tyres are ok (new by the way), and I actually just serviced my car only.

Any bros able to give some possible causes?

Thanks a lot!

Clicking sound while driving could also be a worn drive shaft. As they get old the splines no longer fit snugly into the transmission and hence the clicking. This will be especially loud on full steering lock.

Yes I had this once, and my car was 5 years old. Believe or not up to you.

Driveshaft sud wear out at the CV joint.

How come even the splines can wear? Means the power from the gearbox is not being transfered to the driveshaft n car cannot move at all.

1st time I hear the splines can wear out. Unless the mech damaged them when he remove then replace the driveshaft.
