Fatal Accident @ CTE towards SLE (AMK Ave 5 exit)

I'm looking at the accident diagram in the newspapers

 

The accident happened at the CTE exit to YCK rd

 

I use that exit frequently and it's a clear path without blind spots, and brightly lit at night

 

The 34-yo driver must be dozing off and speeding at the same time

Actually in seriousness, I think they have screwed up - the spot in front of Popeye's - or further round the corner where the fountain is would both be awesome watersports spots, but so closed off...makes me sad everytime I go past

About 6 am plus I passed this scene but there were 2 accidents but I am not sure whether related.

200 m before YCK exit Hyundai Tuscon and Taxi lane 1 & 2 closed then in YCK exit itself Toyota Wish and Honda Stream the one on the news.

Anyway, nothing good happened on the roads after 3am. The chances of meeting speeding, drunk, reckless and sleepy drivers are much higher.
