Baal Supersonic December 19, 2013 Share December 19, 2013 I'm a KU31 newbie Just put in a fresh set of 195/55-15 this afternoon. The steering feels light on the new tires. Wonder if they're over inflated, or it's just the way KU31 is. the last time I changed to BridgeS MY01 & recently FireS TZ700, in both cases, steering felt lighter for couple of hundred km. Should be coz not scrubbed yet. Think new tyres have sticker : no hard driving/braking for 1st XXXkm & keep within XXX speed. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Voodooman Supersonic January 4, 2014 Share January 4, 2014 installed a set of Kumho KU31 215/45/R17 last week @ Soh Tyre for $115/ea..from Vietnam..my personal experience is that during on rainy wet roads its good but when comes to dry roads..it's rather poor compare to my previous set of Hankook V12s..road noise is bearable to me as UHP tyres are generally noisy Between V12 and KU31, which one is noisier? I am on my 2nd set of V12 (love the tyres and the price but not a fan of its softer side wall) but thinking of trying out something new. ummm.... for me , different butt feel let... both dry and wet, ku31 better than v12 IMO.... when i was on v12, it didnt instill the confident as much as ku31, feels like im loosing grip anymore whenever i push hard on bend during dry or wet.. and on wet, it's not as "sticky" as ku31 even on straight... i was on ku31, then tried v12 and now back to ku31... Any reasons? Is it due to softer tyre compound of KU31? Better premium brand tyres like Bridgestone, Goodyear, Continental, Michelin also have tyres with soft compound.
