Car battery draw current when engine is off

stick to stock will do. But, perform some basic measures to ensure longer batt life including powering down electronic devices when arriving your carpark, off radio, satnav, aircon before reaching home.

 

I will ensure everytime the car is parked, I would switch off the aircon and also the head unit. If I don't off it, the sudden power surge could damage my electronic equipment in the long run.

Alternator must fit your car in terms of mountings/space available/drive belt type/length, and some wiring connections.

 

They are usually sold as oem fit.

 

If you want to modify and drop in a bigger alternator, you need to find a workshop willing to do the mix and match work.

Doesn't matter if recon or new, it must fit your car.

A workshop can also fabricate mounting bars to accommodate different alternator, but mounting must fit into the tight space available.

 

Con would probably be higher fuel consumption.

 

Some people also play with pulley size to spin faster or slower.

However, it will not change the alternator capability since the components are rated to produce that much power only.

went to my previous ICE installer and they found out is my power pack for my car camera are not working, he change to a new set , guess this should solve the problem for time being....

Yup, you are right. Nothing to be proud of. Just that small car that pack so many gadget. Just that I now also start to worry how long my alternator can last. This thread had at least wake me up. Better monitor my battery and alternator.

perhaps you are tyring to show off or what? but a vios is just an entry level car in the toyota range.

I think the reason why many forumers feel Gdspd08 is showing off is because he tried to list as many things he has added to his vehicle, to the extent that he even listed those things that are not electrical and not relevant to the title of this thread. Fire extinguisher draw current?

Cash card just take it out and the ERP unit won't draw current liao.
