7hm Turbocharged June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 The new gen Forte will look something like this.... http://paultan.org/2015/04/03/kia-novo-concept-previews-future-design-direction/k_5222/ Great Reliability doesn't apply to Subaru, Nissan and Mitsubishi hor... doesn't mean its a Japs brand=super reliable. Also, as I've posted b4, even if the car is reliable, you have to factor in parts durability as well... If the parts gets worn out much faster or sooner than its peers or industry average, the car can be expensive to maintain too. Honda cars belongs to the reliable but not very durable category. Now that really looks like a "tiger nose"! Dunno about here... Korean reliability has been top notch in the European countries and their 5 year warranty is quite good. In fact I think they said of the Pro c'eed: "there's a seven year warranty, but you are not expected to need it at all!" (because the car is that reliable). And Honda Civic wear & tear seems to be quite high according to users here ↡ Advertisement

7hm Turbocharged June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 Swee... Just hope C & C bring in the turbo model.. New Tucson not gonna have Turbo GDi brought in... wouldn't be surprised if C&C follow suit and don't bring Turbo GDi Optima. Also somehow the new Optima reminds me a bit of the facelifted Camry though. It's the front bumper design.

Also somehow the new Optima reminds me a bit of the facelifted Camry though. It's the front bumper design. The new Optima doesn't require separate foglamps assembly. The foglamps are integrated into the headlamps assembly. Not many models do this but this is a great design IMHO My brother Civic 2.0L GB failed at 130k even though he change ATF regularly. Petrol tank was also changed due to leak. My Father Picanto just scrap on Feb this year after COE expired. Only normal wear and tear in 10yrs usage. My FD1 GB also showing signs of slippage on the 1st and 2nd gear at light throttle And my mileage at ard 88k only TMD... I dare not even want to know how much the cost is going to be... If they don't bring in, buyers will have to pay extra since normal GDI Nu engines cant qualify for the super strict CEVS. And fuel economy is going to suffer. The old Theta II simply have no chance to get qualified for any rebates

C&C and Komoco here do bring in well equipped cars (mostly...) but it just seems they are really reluctant to bring in their best drive trains. Either that or it's something that the Korean HQ don't want... which would be strange Regent Motors also didn't bring in Focus with 1.0L EcoBoost turbo
Bluebull 2nd Gear June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 (edited) seriously when i look at this car at the car park with many other cars around, my impression is this car is small n inferior grade le, just the immediate gut feel, no offence... and when i tailgating this car, i also find it darn small just like the feeling when i tailgating an rx8... just my honest feeling... What about your feel of the Hyundai Elantra? Edited June 13, 2015 by Bluebull
Maomao82 2nd Gear June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 What about your feel of the Hyundai Elantra? Personal feel.. Elantra seems wider from the rear view, maybe coz of the fact that the boot seems to extend higher.. but if do dimension comparison, our K3 is still bigger, wider and longer

Perhaps looks can be deceiving. However, size is just one of the aspects of a car. There are many factors to consider as well. I'll rate a quiet car one of the top 3 consideration Come to think of it... why were you tailgating??????? he wants to tell us that he can tailgate even an RX8. Perhaps he is driving a real performance car. But why bother with the K3, a family car?

Hybridcar 3rd Gear June 15, 2015 Share June 15, 2015 wow.... didn't realize people still debating K3 a lot even after 2 years... Anyway, still loving my K3 till today after 8 months owning it.. Yeah, I wish for HID headlight as well but I'm not complaining.... Different timing have different configuration/packages for car... This applied to other AD too.. As for the K3 compare to new Honda City... hmm.. this is that fellow entitled to his own views. Creating new account just to shoot K3 only... Probably some K3 owner offended him previously, so just create new account to do so... But as far as personal feel... both are different class.. As for comparing to Elantra, personally both are spacious but for the rear passenger seats, there is a hump in the middle for Elantra, that my makes middle passenger slightly uncomfortable depending on the passenger height.. But, Elantra still quite spacious as well.. As for the SX Sports, saw the sports kit... not to my taste. I think previous gen Forte sports kit still the best. Of cos, the good old foglamp switch is still there for users to switch on the foglamps manually so it's like Mercedes' Intelligent Light System or Ford's Dynamic LED? Should be really neat, if KIA is going to bring it to market it means it will soon be a mainstream feature?

Yes, to me Honda City is different class from Kia K3, though City is much more expensive than K3. We always compare K3 to Mazda3, Honda Civic, Altis, Sylphy etc. If ask me choose between Honda and Kia, I will sure choose Kia K3 than Honda City. Reason? I just do not like Honda City and Honda Civic. The only Honda car I liked is Accord. Lol. Personal preference. ↡ Advertisement
