Due to space constraint, foggies hardly install those with cooling fan

Quite ez actually. My h1 highbeams using those with cooling fins. Foglights enough space for both fins or fans.

Mine is a all led set up

Need to cut the cover? Is it legal by LTA standard? LTA only allows up to 4300K?

Anything modded from stock for headlights will be considered illegal ba. Both led or hid, only legal if it came stock.

The throw is so long... it will be super glaring on the road... be considerate and tune the angle down a bit.

Led throw not as long as hid.

His pics prob look v bright cuz no Street lights at the roof top

4100k is lta standard and 4300k is grey line. Anything above that is not compliant

I want to change the FL SX headlight to another halogen bulb which is white without any modification. Which halogen bulb is best for white and bright? How much is the damage?

Yup. Cos no streetlight.

The throw definitely not as far as HID.

I like the colour tone. It's not like HID's 8000k and plus the HID throw, it's damn glaring.

This one quite manageable in terms of glare.

I feel like buying spare dust cover to drill holes to ventilate. Provided it is. It very ex la. Haha

How about 3000K?

3000k is quite orange. Almost more orange than flurosent light. I think stock is 3000k. I might be wrong.

Phillips Diamond Vision 5000k is quite white. But our k3 headlight assembly is projector type. It seems that the projector will filter out white light.

My old halogen 7000k bulb felt like 5000k-6000k

I didn't need to cut the cover. It fits inside the cover.

For the foggies n h1 highbeam better get those with cooling fins.

These from amazon without cooling mechanisms will overheat n spoil quite fast within 2-3 mths. And actually they are much cheaper from taobao. Cancel the amazon if not dispatched yet haha

Also these tend to be much less brighter compared to those with fins or fans

I thought high beams dont need to get those with cooling cos we dont on it for long period unlike low beam?

Very true. Just upgrade the low beam is good enough.

How about 3000K?

4300K warm plus plus that why grey area LTA compliant. those 5000k above confirm cannot. These were told to me by autobacs sales consultant when I searching H7 Halogen. They have philips 43k with stated compliant in LTA standard but 90+ range if I rem correctly

MIne FL H7 plug and play which is easily done

I feel that the high beam no need cooling fin cos we don't keep our high beam on all the way at night. At most flash flash abit.

And fog light I only use it during bad weather (heavy rain)

If I am not wrong, using fog light when not required can be fined by LTA.

Update:

"Fog lamps can only be used during heavy downpours or in hazy conditions."

"Using your vehicle's fog lamps indiscriminately is an offence."

I would avoid autobacs. Their prices are known to be above and beyond SRP.

Wrong. Cuz the leds without cooling are usually the less bright ones..... do you really want a high beam that does not aleet people?

See my other response. I tried the leds with no cooling before and seen the brightness difference between them n the proper ones.

They are not bright at all and purely cosmetic

Refering to high beam bro. High beam LED if even brighter than halogen high beam, it will be just annoying to other road user liao.

Low beam definately must be bright though. This is safety.

Anyway which post number you referring to bro? Can't seem to find it.

the non cooled LEDs i tried are less bright and have less throw vs the halogens. they just look nicer cuz they are white hehe....

the post right above this :p MCF just grouped all the posts together.

anyway install liao den try and u will see.... maybe the amazon ones are better, but i doubt it.... LEDs need a way to dissipate heat for them to be bright. Those that are not bright dont need to dissipate heat, hence no heat sink or cooling fins or fans.

Noted bro. So as long as have cooling fin (minimum) is better than 1 without any. Haha

Btw, we do not have pole light right? Cos i turn down all 1 click up, nothing happens

That little small stub right?

I also dono for what. I was trying out all the light switch setting. Lol.

Anyway I was just wondering about this.

We are concerned about the heat from the bulbs(halogen/LED)

But the car came with dust/water cover in the headlight assembly.

So it got me thinking. Maybe the headlight assembly has an air outlet to let the hot air out from the assembly.

Like that, the stock cover design with no holes to ventilate would make sense liao.

The cover is meant to keep out moisture and dirt from the assembly. If it has holes, then it defeats the purpose of being a cover. Lol.

Just fruit for thought

Not sure if its a stub. Looks like a bulb to me.

I would think that the casing is design to withstand the heat from halogen bulb. So i am quite concern abt the heat led is emitting as we dont know what's the temperature. BUT hack care la, wanna mod dont scared. Haha
