Sidetrack a bit but is the new 2017 model using a H1 or H7 bulb? I found one that comes with the bulb cover and won't tamper with the original parts :D Those who're interested in some of the accessories, the links are down below:

The accessories listed should be universal although the design of china's K3 is slightly different from our version. I've ordered the items but won't know whether it'll fit or not until I collect the car :D

Den if i am more keen on the reverse cam ?

U can try those rear view mirror with built in reverse camera monitor. But read reviews that the rear view mirror itself not as clear compared to normal ones because its actually glass with a silver coating on it similar to sunglasses. Or those standalone reverse camera monitor which will look uglier as you have to mount it on the dashboard

So the Mortrex is not that good after all. The SE say this unit is top of the range and is endorse by Kia and it cost $2K... actually it's rubbish.

 

In US, Kia uses UVO system, i think UVO is more advance system compare to Mortrex which is a korean make. The only advantage i see for Motrex is the 7inch display, thats all.

model? u mean HU? Im using stock HU. Im keeping the controls. Will up processor for better SQ later.. 

K3 is out in the market for a few years bro. The panels are readily available. no worries on that.

 

Warranty wise, I have upgraded my system and I still get them to honor my warranty. HU is only 1 year warranty.

So the workshop has to get the panel fitting fit to the new HU. Also the steering controls.

Im using the stock HU. I only upgraded my speakers, amp and woofer. I will need processor later.

 

Dun intend to upgrade HU cos i will lose the bluetooth controls on steering.

 

U go to the workshop and ask, they will have the panels and steering control module. That is common. The hard to find ones are for the bluetooth if there is any.

im using rearview mirror got gps, dvr and reverse.

 

No issues with reverse. Front dvr suxs so have to get standalone. GPS is ok, i can update map by my own.

No need spend the money on a new HU, as it may not fit.

Spend money on speakers..

Motrex is just bigger screen, and it give you a better view for reverse camera parking..

GPS, use your Hp better..

 

 

I ask for the upgrade to Motrex when i book, the original one they give it back to me, and the design is with the panel and buttons.

 My friend left me a focal k2 power 6 KRX3 subwoofer set you think those are better den the stock speakers?

The stock speakers so so...my scrap car ICE all o give it to them never take out...pity is my 4 channel amp..

Anyway the stock speaker ok lah..
