You can't compare like that... your drive routes, driving style are very important and these are very important. If you exchange cars, I dare say it's the same.

Eurostyle is a company/ brand (cant recall) which install the aftermark HU for C&C/ Kmc locally.

 

It's an upgraded HU compared to stock.

Eurostyle is the naming for the HU. It is installed by Tomo-CSE locally partnered with C&C.

I've got my car a few days back but without the eurostyle HU cos no stocks. Once I arrives somewhere at the end of the month, I will go get it fixed. I heard the radio and touchscreen sensitivity is not that good. Is it true?

 

this eurostyle HU I have with some issue that I encountered from the day I received my K3.

 

1. Sometimes just hang... screen freeze... button or touchscreen just wont work

2. Sometime no sound at all

3. After put gear to reverse position, reverse camera activate, put gear back to other position (D or P), the reverse camera stay on... forever

4. Sometime GPS just freeze without I'm knowing it...

 

only way to resolve problems above, I need to stop the engine, wait for a while (maybe 2 or 3 minutes), and restart the engine again...

 

just live with it.. not a big deal... :)

 

as for the fc.... just drive, stop worrying and comparing... already paying much cheaper than others similar range of makes.. :)

And driving K3 close to 2 years.. quite reliable...

You should get Kia to check and reset the unit or flash the firmware to prevent these random freezes. Could be RAM issues.

Goto tomo-cse...kia workshop can't do much with the hu.. It's sub out to tomo to install..chg whole hu if u can..

Wow... sounds like have quite a number of issues. I'd want it just for the reverse cam but at the same time I like to have music on while driving, so I hope the HU won't act up. I'm pretty happy with the in stock HU except there's no reverse cam. For GPS I can make do with Google map on my phone actually. Anyways since the eurostyle HU is free, I suppose I'll just take it as it is.

The current model seems ok... this appears to be one off... so far don't have many owners here complain about it.

Good to know. Hopefully the one they will be installing in my k3 will be without any hiccups.

You should feedback to C&C. They and Tomo-cse do try to solve problems. Just that the owner got to bear the inconvenience of driving to the service center.

I guess there's no other way right? They'll hardly come to your home to fix it... only people driving Rolls Royce have this privilege... ha ha ha...

My current batch of Eurostyle rear view mirror. This is before C&C started to offer HU.

 

It has reverse cam, gps and camera. I also have issues when the GPS is active and navigating, if I switch to Reverse mode, there is a lag time before the reverse camera comes on and after I switch back to D, I will get a bluescreen for a long while before it function as normal again. Usually I have to force shutdown the eurostyle unit.

Anyone here replaced their Halogen bulbs with LED? Unfortunately, my SX does not come with HID.

 

Was it a simple bulb replacement or is there a need to add a ballast or LED controller?

 

Am looking at the Phillips H11 LED bulbs, but worried that it may not be bright enough for our low beam. Seems to be a quick bulb replacement. (Link to bulb website below)
