You fc not accurate due to your tyre size. K3 should be 215 45 17.

According to my mechanic friend, aircon temperature will affect fc. His advice to set to coldest possible. Will also prolong compressor life.

I tried it on my last ride and is true.

My tyres is only wider by 10mm, overall diameter still the same at R17. Ya I heard about the aircon. Cos when we set higher temp it will mix hot air into the cabin, which returns to cooling coil and coil have to work harder due to the hot air mixed in.

Try to use their shell oil.dun use other oils

Ya shell oil is pure with no additional additives. Oil like Motul has additives that made the engine smoother but in turn damage engine in the long run as it has coatings to coat the Cynlinder walls to reduce friction.

Hi all, The tyres is stock Nexen. Not changed yet. I know that tyres are not good according to fellow owners.

8.6l/100km I shall not complain but is 8.6km/l based on manual calculation. 60% city and 40% highway bah. I drive quite slow when in the city cause a lot of roadworks with gravel. Scare to damage paintwork. :) Now change to 70% highway 40% city then can get 11.6km/l.

Yeah my old car pump around 240PSI so fuel economy is quite good for a 10 yrs old ride.

Poor tyres have high rolling resistance that will produce bad fc. And the wet road braking is poor. Beware driving in rain and do not hard brake. I think better to invest in a good set of tyres cos it's the only contact point with the road.

225 tyres slightly higher too. Difference is 1.44% bigger diameter.

Agree that Nexen tyres not so good.

Better to change to PSP3, CPC5 or F1A2.

Can do a comparison between price, durability and performance then decide which you prefer.

Yes, that is correct.

However, your fc will be better on 215 tyres.

I see. But CSC5 don't have 215. That's y I got 225.

Maybe by your next tyre change, it will be available otherwise can consider others.

Personally, I'm very happy with Goodyear F1A2 for the price, durability, grip and quietness. My previous FD also on same tyres and tyres still good after 45,000km.

Waiting for F1A3 to come in to Singapore in time for next tyre change.

Stamford tyres prices quite expensive.

I paid $145 per tyre for F1A2. I think your CSC5 from Stamford closer to $200.

Anyway, CSC5 are excellent tyres albeit expensive.

Mine a little complicated.

I kept my old 17" rims from my FD.

So I had to get a set of old rims and tyreswhen deliver my FD in exchange for my new K3.

Traded in the 16" rims and tyres from my EX for the 17" F1A2. Paid $300 in total.

So you using what rims ?

Mine is a metallic rims from RM.

So if you see any white K3 on the road with metallic coloured rims, it's my ride.

Anyway, I retained my 26 year old number plate.

Ya, Stamford price always more expensive than others.

My regular tyre workshop is at Yap Brothers at Ubi. Their price are cheaper and reasonable. Service also good.
