coolbluepica 2nd Gear April 11, 2016 Share April 11, 2016 I no like my K3EX's soft/spongy suspension. Was on original stock tires (Nexen) & @ recommended 220 kpa & aso soft/spongy on 245 kpa, all 4 wheels. My friend aso drove it & commented soft/spongy. PLS HELP: 1) Experienced, who used F strut - wats d result? Anyone apply F & R struts - wats d result? Is spring buffer - those neoprene inserts between the springs - can they resolve my issue? I've looked under R suspension - wonder how they fix the R struct - any comments? I luv my KIA K3 EX. All comments/suggestions R welcome. I no like my K3EX's soft/spongy suspension. coolbluepica 2nd Gear April 11, 2016 Share April 11, 2016 About fuel consumption . . . To thechoseone: I did around 60%highway/40%city driving and gotten 9.3 to 9.8 L/100 km accordin to the in-dash real-time calculator, during my 1st three mths. Now I get 8.2 to 8.6 L/100. I am amazed I got 6.2 L/100 in my drive to JB Sentral from my home in Simei thru' PIE/BKE. Along BKE the real-time calculator, even, averaged down to 5.4L/100km ! This benefit I get, after I added insulation to the stock battery. Next I gonna insulate the air intake. I got a coil of Aluminium Tape, given to me, which I must 1st find. The insulation mat . . . I scavenged from the boot cover of my scrapped N/Sunny. I'll see if that'll gimme fuel savings. Find the Al Tape 1st. Or, find seller of Al Tape. Comes in a roll & good sticky on one side. Any help from ppl in KIA family? Hi, I just collected my car few days ago and I got 8.5-8.7L/100km. The car is powerful and we tends to over accelerate. If you are applying brakes often, then chances are you are wasting petrol. Collected my car few days ago and found the defects : 1. Straight line throughout on the rear boot lip. SE arranged for re-spray. 2. Paintwork above rear number plate is rough and have a little pimple. SE arranged for re-spray. 3. Front bumper alignment slight out, gap on right bigger than the left. SE informed able to adjust. Problem is I am reluctant to leave my car at C&C for re-spraying work. Any Bros have the same issue too? And noticed that the bonnet gasket above the Kia logo have water ingress during rain or car wash. Any bros tried to open bonnet to check after car wash? The top of radiator is all wet. Tend to be powerful when the cruise control feel is different from the new Jazz I also drove at times. The K3 sometimes rev much higher especially going up slope but the Jazz maintains the speed and no sudden jerk. Check other cars no such issues. If there is works to be done then better do it as you have to keep driving it maybe 9 yrs plus? However not every car is perfect even if you buy posh cars. I sending in my to respray the bumper seams, change the chrome door belt & servicing this Thursday. This will take a 2 days job so have to leave the car there. Alternative transport to work arranged by C&C as they causes me a lot of problems which they must answer for it anyway. Le_Dad Neutral Newbie April 12, 2016 Share April 12, 2016 Why you dun like their service? When I wanted to change from EX to SX, I was told to top up based on the price when I signed instead of the lower price at the time of upgrade < Fair enough. But when I was told whether to upgrade to guaranteed bid, I was told to top up to latest price...

Dark_flan 2nd Gear April 12, 2016 Share April 12, 2016 Really a bad experience. Wonder how many new k3 owners suffer as well? Nowadays is not because of the workshop facilities but is the cheap labor (china etc) used whereby they are not all skilled to do this job not just C&C bah They thought the damage cannot see is ok but I will always find out as the color is very prominent. To me the overall experience is positive as they tried to assist me as much as possible but should improve their workmanship and attention to details. coolbluepica 2nd Gear April 12, 2016 Share April 12, 2016 "Found a line along my rear spoiler , look like adhesive stains." I thought I was alone. The line did look like adhesive stains and in my case, and the lines are pretty "long" and obvious along my spoiler, as my car is black. I am planning to ask my SE whether they can remove the stain during my coming 1K servicing. Also realise some parts of bonnet was slightly blurish. Should have checked the car paintwork thoroughly during collection 2 weeks ago. Any expert with similar experience and advice (other than paying to DIY...)? SE told me to send in for re-spray but I cannot afford the time to leave car there. Maybe I'll go outside polishing shop to try. Does any bros notice the area above the rear number plate, the paintwork is not glossy with lacquer coat?

Does any bros notice the area above the rear number plate, the paintwork is not glossy with lacquer coat? My rear plate above also same. I think all K3 also same. Can't see anyway unless u bend down and purposely go see closely. Not really a big issue. When you ever drive a car with Coilovers then you will appreciate the comfortness of k3's suspension.Totally agree with you. Sat in my colleague's Vezel, don't like the bumpy ride. Still prefer the comfort of my K3.
