Hi thanks. I'm thinking of installing amp and upgrade speakers and underseat woofer. The Eurostyle have pre-outputs for amp? Eurostyle have sub-out for subwoofer ?

Hmm sorry bro from what I heard from my car HiFi shop, eurostyle don't have the power to drive a passive sub woofer, so I'm getting a small active/powered subwoofer to be installed under my seat.

 

For budget purposes I did an amp for my 6 speakers but opted for an under seat sub woofer just for a little added thump, not the mind blowing 12" or 15" sub that will have to be installed in your trunk. That also required a separate amp.

 

I'm very very happy with my new speakers, just itching to bring a little more bass to my listening pleasure.

Perhaps so. I did my coating and noted paint surface crack lines and bubbling out of my coating. Not obvious.

 

Let it be. in future may need to respray.

 

Recently sent for respray of my door, workmanship is good but lame mistakes.

 

They never remove my door edge protector and spray on leaving one side thicker over the other. Rectified by sanding down. But noted that the edges loses some pearls as a result. Let them go now noted that my chrome accent has been scratched and swirl marks and damage my bodykit coating. Now going third time to replace the chrome accent. Wasting my time.

 

The last let them go a lot of times when fixing my bodykit resulting my bumper edges paint peel at 3 corners.

 

Seemly a reputable workshop is not really first class.. :(

Any SLA 5800-6000 plus k3 owners do not have sport rims installed.
Heard from salemans there was an out of stock issue. but now need go back lengkee to install on weekday when my service centre is ubi and i booked on a saturday. Pending saleman reply if can bring over to ubi.

Changing to hella or those bm sound horn,. Do we need to remove front bumper? Or how is it installed by the shops

Sad to know that there's delay in my car collection. Due to problem in my used car loan redemption as bank rejected redemption amt request due to difference in signature. Any Bros encountered this problem before ?

Would like to share my previous 4 tanks fuel consumption, 10.9km/l 10.7km/l 9.8km/l and 11.4km/l

 

Normally around 60%highway/40%city driving

Started to get better now as i would always try to get on the expressway asap unless the destination i'm going to, can only be reach by small road.

 

Do share other tips for better FC

Me too, but they already inform me that the rim already in and schedule to install tomorrow morning at Pandan workshop.

Like the car but the way they handled my repair works is not up to standards.

 

Yeah my car not even 6 mths old but kenna huge dent on the door which PDR cannot rectify 100%. Only option is to respray to achieve 100%.

 

Quite pleased that the tone is the same which I quite worried be difference other than the lame mistakes they made.

 

I touched up the corner edges of bumper which initially I do not intend to pursue the matter but upon pressure washing dropped out thus requested they spot repair the damages they inflicted especially the rear bumper which has about 3 cm paint peel off when they dismantled and reassembled my front and rear bumper to do up my bodykit which is puzzling why need to take out. Being touched up so no photo to show, but highlighted to them when the damages is done.

My colleague's car more worse than me. Same period take new car but respray the roof, 3 doors. Roof is the paint quality being bad and 3 doors is the wife damaged it when parking. Brand new car cannot accept any repair job not 100% same as me. :)

Wah seems like the paintwork for k3 is "made in China". I got scared, collecting my k3 anytime next week.

Forget to mention is my colleague's car is an Altis. The coating guy told him that about 80% of Altis sent in got clear coat damages and peel. Yeah still can coat but the owner has to live with it since the coating is permanent which most will send back to Borneo.

 

Every car when new sure have defects somewhere even in a Rolls. Dun worry. :) Never heard about paint issues for my car when I sent in to do coating.

May i know what brand your amp and speakers and how much ? Which shop? Thanks.

 

My system is a Rainbow beat-4 power amp and 2 sets of boston acoustics SL60 (possibly discontinued) replacement maybe the SR60

 

But the speakers produce the kind of music, I liked.

 

My office is near Junction 8, so when I went to do my VCool at Sin Ming there was this auto shop just next door, so I dropped in for a look see.

 

Initially was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff in there

 

But Ted guided me through the listening procedure lucky I was early, later the place was a bit packed with cars and ppl.

 

The shop name was AutoImage

Thank you. I'm 4,800 km now. Gonna check tomorrow for e/oil condition. Plan to do my 10k service when I hit 8,000 km. E/oil is very important for e/longetivity. Thanks for yr notification. This thread for KIA owners v useful - keep it up.

I say:

It's a good car, leh. They guys who built it put much thoughts into it. The car has a lot of refinements gone into it. You can find them doing lots of detailed work on the car. Very thoughtful work. Even the C&C guy (guys ?) who put in the sports rims for the K3 EX thoughfully selected the sports rims. They are unobstructively easy to clean & correctly painted in shade of grey for keeping the rims long-look of cleanliness.

No scat. No scat. KIA paintwork is not as bad as dark_flan's comments scare u & readers. It is not made in China.

Go collect your car, confidently. Check the car, before you sign acceptance. C&C got reputation, to protect.

Dark_flan did himself in. He is did coating. He put in door protector & the suku painter did his work with his eyes closed. He did body kit. He shanked his door. He got so many problems he need to go to Tua Pek Kong. His friend spray roof. Plus 3 doors. Tua Pek Kong will show him arithematic wrong. New car, he says. Chai Sin Yah can tell. Very little bit dollar more can paint the whole car. The guy shot himself in his feet. Or lousy workshop manager didn't advise him.

Ha I never mod my car yet except some appearance like carbon fiber pillars etc.

 

You want me to show the touch up jobs that I did to temporary hide the damages C&C does? Ha? They ask me to drive down to see what they can do when my service due in few weeks time.

 

Dear all, not saying that the K3 has many problems but their after sales services is bugging me when damages is caused by their guys and sharing my bad experience over their quality of works but the service is overall pleasing and offer me a number of assistance. Now I dun deal with the SA now the manager comes and serves me partly maybe ex C&C staff.  Service good but bad lame workmanship.

for a), i think you need to have the transmission in Parking (P) mode for the video to work.

 

for b), what i did was to switch to a darker and more muted theme for eurostyle. now it is v comfortable to view at night.

 

ya really depends on luck, and black paintwork can show up defects more easily, especially swirl marks.

 

remember one of our other members who bought the 2nd last SX sports in black also had some paint defects and swirls that needed to be rectified.

For (a), for the video to work, need to put Parking (P) mode, as well as pull the handbrake. If I release the handbrake, the video will disappear immediately, only music from the video is present.

 

b) I have 1 default theme (blue?) to select only. Can share how do you install new theme? The backlight setting is always reset to default at some point of time, even though I set to lowest brightness.

 

New question.... Even though my car boot is opened, I can still lock my car (using key or keyless mode). Is that so?? What if I have important stuff in my car boot (laptop, etc)....
