safety reasons. the authorities do not want you to be watching videos/be distracted by videos your kids may be watching while driving.

 

hence the restriction.

i find it good enough. many like the pioneer HUs

sometimes its not just what happens at the factory. could be how the car is handled on the way from Korea to SG before it reaches you

In-vehicle entertainment system

The visual display unit of the in-vehicle entertainment system should be installed such that it is not in the view of driver. If it is in the view of the driver, it shall have a function to automatically disable or switch off the visual display when the vehicle is in motion. The system shall not interfere with existing vehicle controls or instrumentation in any way. The electrical system shall be adequately protected against fire hazards. The addition of in-vehicle entertainment systems must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with the system manufacturer's recommendations.

Putting in P mode ensures vehicle in not in motion. Allowing system to play DVD in other modes will challenge this guideline...that explains the settings on Eurostyle or any other OE HU systems.

for a), i think you need to have the transmission in Parking (P) mode for the video to work.

 

for b), what i did was to switch to a darker and more muted theme for eurostyle. now it is v comfortable to view at night.

 

 

ya really depends on luck, and black paintwork can show up defects more easily, especially swirl marks.

 

remember one of our other members who bought the 2nd last SX sports in black also had some paint defects and swirls that needed to be rectified.

may i know how/where you download themes for the eurostyle?

Hi, would like to know how is the sound quality for Eurostyle. Thinking of upgrading the speakers and adding a woofer after collecting my new ride.

honestly im not a sound quality kind of guy so to me its good enough. just maxed the base only. as for eurostyle... so far seems to be a good investment. just that ive yet to figure out some functions.

They're called rubber grommets... they plug the holes created on your plastics and metals that are used to secure the interior fittings onto the car frame or door frame.

To me the Eurostyle is pretty OK! like the Navigator part, nice and clear.

 

but I think you are talking about the speakers. Personally I couldn't stand the speakers as I found it too boomy and 'distorted'

 

So I changed the speakers to my 'preference', sigh! because the speakers are a bit hard to drive, I also installed an Amp.

 

If you want to change, listen too various speakers at the shop and choose the 'sound' you like best. Ask around, the shop assistant should be able to recommend some pretty good options.

 

Now everything is almost 'perfect' so considering putting in a Under seat sub woofer, just for a little more 'thump' to the low frequencys.

Just to check if you guys when sent for 1k servicing got check the oil whether is it changed?

 

I just checked mine and noted it is extremely dirty despite still less than 6 mths and only 6k driven till date..

 

My FC is suffering. Think most likely due to this.. 

 

Checked C&C and mentioned it is changed and is normal... 

 

My old car is not so dirty like this.

Perhaps so. I did my coating and noted paint surface crack lines and bubbling out of my coating. Not obvious.

 

Let it be. in future may need to respray.

 

Recently sent for respray of my door, workmanship is good but lame mistakes. 

 

They never remove my door edge protector and spray on leaving one side thicker over the other. Rectified by sanding down. But noted that the edges loses some pearls as a result. Let them go now noted that my chrome accent has been scratched and swirl marks and damage my bodykit coating. Now going third time to replace the chrome accent. Wasting my time.

 

The last let them go a lot of times when fixing my bodykit resulting my bumper edges paint peel at 3 corners. 

 

Seemly a reputable workshop is not really first class.. :(

Hi thanks. I'm thinking of installing amp and upgrade speakers and underseat woofer. The Eurostyle have pre-outputs for amp? Eurostyle have sub-out for subwoofer ?
