Guys. What do car dealers hate most?

 

Falling coe prices.

 

Why?

 

Falling prices make buyers wait in anticipation of further price reduction.

 

This hurts sales and is a vicious cycle.

 

If everyone is smart (not everyone is), we will see coe softening.

 

To counter this. AD fiddles with human psyche. They increase prices marginally to make buyers esp fence sitters panic.

 

This is how the market works and there's no counter .

 

For me ... I believe in waiting. And market forces should eventually soften coe. Unless govt measures kick in

Go to Sgcarmart and look at the Price History for the particular model and it becomes quite obvious which ADs resort to such tricks. Mazda is another one. The SEs from these ADs should be very familiar with the routine. A week before COE exercise, they start calling up all the fence sitters and start announcing price about to increase. I bet after the 2k increase, if i were to go down today and ask for a 2k discount, they may give it willingly or offer it themselves without asking. The tune just a few days before COE exercise may change to though price increased but we are still willing to give you the old price.

My case I only went down to downpay 2weeks after my deposit.

 

It's reali depends how u talk to yr SE, and how's your SE level of service.

 

That's why cannot always assume SE is playing tricks to secure the deals. Have to open eyes bigger & ears wider to hear all the news..Some pple juz dont wanna listen. Good for you Bro. Welcome the family. Got time go to SG KCF forum, and join the K3 whatapps group.

i went for non gurantte at 103K since I have a current ride (Forte). Didn't expect to get my COE in the 1st bidding. My SE quite a nice guy. I got the following feebies:-

1) Euro Style HU

2) Paint Protector

3) Thinkware Front Cam

4) Rikecool soalar film

Its not a gimmick. Toyota has increases their prices.

The price might be increased to put pressure on fence sitters to sign the deal and not because they are expecting the next round of COEs to increase by 2k. If most others ADs are doing likewise, increasing their prices, then it might not be a gimmick.

Did Kia not increase their prices by 1-2k a few days before the last COE exercise only to see the price increase by only $300 for Cat A? If there is a history, then obviously it is a gimmick.

its seem guarantee is 4k more with 3 yr free servicing, non Guarantee gotta topup 2k for the 3yr servicing.

Yeap, my doesn;t come with free servicing. Just free labour for the 1st 2 servicing. My mileage is not high...(current car barely hit 60K for 6 years) hence no point to sign up the free 3 years servicing package.

 

Im likely to to go for the 1st 2 servincg before going outside ws for servicing.

i took the Guarantee bid, aso secured it aug 5, but Metal stream color only arriving nxt mth.

Ha..ha...at first did went for metal stream but later change to snow white pearl. Nvr own a white car before so wanted to try this time around. My CFO also prefer snow white pearl.

Yah, am surprise that I manage to get so much from him. Maybe he is new (juz 2 mth into the job).

 

Maybe in the begining, just tell him that I only have 2 car taken into consideration (K3 Sport or Vezel) and he is the 1st one I go that day. Told him to impress me with a deal I can;t say no and the rest is history .... LOL

Mine's ex model, so intend to trade-in for 17" rim n new tyre , aso looking for kang tao leh
