nobody can predict whether COE will rise or fall unless it's the GM of the big ADs like C&C and BM because they will know how many orders they take and how many they will bid and how many they intend to secure. Otherwise, believing in an SE's sales talk on COE going up is just bull****

Demand from 1766 bids before 1st July COE rebate, raise to 1891 bids, raise to 1966 bids, raise to 2466 bids. Last round of 759 backlogs to clear... And like what Imac says, the showroom did showed an increase of people gg to test drive, when I drove past Ubi.

I've received more than 1 car brand SE sms-ing me, confirming at least $2k increase across board. Now what ?

All the brands AD are ganging up and play the rising COE game. If so what can you do ?

Now is the time where buyers who are willing to pay for $50++k COE are flooding in

Actually the so call backlog maybe is not the real backlog as in some of the backlog maybe individual buyers who bid at a very low price and some of them maybe is 6 bid non-guarantee COE package with a rebate of 40K to 46K. So the real backlog from the guarantee COE package at a rebate of 54K may not be so many.

To maintain the COE price at above 50K, the AD / sellers need to have a large number of buyers who pay for guarantee COE package at the rebate level of 50K and above. So if lesser people took the guarantee COE package @ rebate level of 50K and above, we'll see the COE price drop below 50K. The high COE price is due to kancheong spider who go for guarantee COE package despite that they don't need the car urgently.

I would encourage those buyers who're to sign for non-guarantee COE package if they're not in a hurry to get a new car. Come, let's us bring down the COE price to below 50K and further down. [;)]

Even at a higher price, there is also a difference between the one who go all the way to squeeze the SE for freebies and those who just take what the SE offer. The one who squeeze the SE may not get the COE as the priority will go to the one who just take what the SE offer.

Just came back from KIA showroom. They're running a special promotion from today till Monday to celebrate SG50. Tempting to sign on the dotted line but I don't want to rush into signing.

You're absolutely right. Last time I bought at non-guarantee price and I did not ask from SE anything. So I secured my COE at first bidding. After paying downpayment then I started asking for all freebies.

if they are saying car price go up $2k across the board means they are expecting COE to go up also or rather they are expecting their management to bid higher thus increase COE prices. so what if got 50% loan curb? people still buying cars mah. [laugh]

Very standard. Car mat and car cover. In-car camera and solar film automatically given. And of course extra key holder pouch as I got two keys. I did not want to ask too many as I know SE needed to come out from her own pocket.

For Fellow K3 info:

not sure if this has been mention elsewhere,,

If you have bad radio reception (hissing sounds)... check if you have your handphone or electronic gadgets charging using the USB car charger (plug in car cigarette port), try to disconnect from your devices.. your radio reception likely will be better.

cheers

Is it this car no good? Rare to see ppl sell in 2mths.
Kia owners .....any feedback on k3?

in my own experience, it is a good family car..

maybe I have low expectation, but this K3 has almost all the features i'm hoping for...

Desperate because most probably dealer offered 80% or 90% loan. That is how these dealers sell such used cars for almost brand new car prices.
