5,000km intervals for tyre rotation is set by Cycle & Carriage.

The industry standard for decades has been 10,000km.

Unnecessary and frequent removal of rims for tyre rotation will cause pre mature wear and tear of the internal and external screw thread. More so if the nut is not manually inserted into the thread and screwed in manually for the first few clockwise turns before using the machine to tighten.

From a business perspective, this is an excellent move for generating additional revenue.

i have never ever done tyre rotations for my cars and replace two tyres at a time with rear tyres lasting longer (FWD car)

My friend just shared with me that K3 uses dual DRY clutch. A good practice to extend its life is to pull handbrake before pushing gear to PARK. Does this sound logical or just hear say? The brake will still need to be pressed before the gear can be pushed.

The logic may be to ensure (add handbrake) the car is completely stop before shifting to park, which is a standard for all auto tranny cars.

Huh. Dual dry clutch?

Hi all, DO NOT polish your car at C&C Kia. Very very bad experience. After polishing found that were yellow stains left on the white body of my 5month old K3. Some of the yellow stains were from dirt that would normally be easily washed of. Sent it back to Kia to rectify. Was initially told that I would need to pay $100 because it was my fault that I chose to drive in a dirty environment.
Only after insisting that I would like to speak to management, that they told me that they would do the removal complimentary.
Had a lot of inconveniences caused because of this.

I had a similar but not exactly the same experience with inside and out cleaning and polishing.

Polish yourself bro @HaroldYeo

You get alot more satisfaction out of all the effort.

Until it starts raining a few hours later.

Going do that already.

I have recently done 2nd round of PPS for my 9 mth old K3. Quite disappointed that my 1st coating faded off after 5mths. Now using another service provider.

Just thinking.....have anyone tried to do PPS (Paint Protection System) on your own and achieve similar results to those offering aftermarket PPS services? Please share. Thanks :)

Just collected the car, was told by service advisor, most of the stains cannot be removed and have bitten into the paintwork, there is nothing that they can do about it.

Talk about professionalism. Pfff..

Eh sorry... I have been following this discussion about C&C's polishing/waxing standards... just a few questions to clarify:

1) To begin with, were the yellow stains already present when you send your car in?

2) Why were there yellow stains? They don't seem like the regular kind of stuff that gets stuck on our paintwork like dust, soil, bitumen dots, mud sprays, rain water stains...

3) I am a bit surprised that you have these stains only after 5 months... the wax layer seems not to have done its job...

Thanks for clarifying... just wanted to understand more...

Bro, how did you know that the coating has faded off?

The fella who did my coating told me to look out for its hydrophobic effect. If it is still repelling water, the coating is still good.

My coating is about 7 months old.

Without before and after photos of the stains, its very difficult to comment from a neutral point of view

No stains were present when I sent the car in. Have been washing it weekly.

U got me there bro. I have dirt on the car, wiped it off, realized less than 24hours later that yellow stains have appeared.

If the car is like a few years old, I honestly would not have bothered about the stains.

What made me pissed off and sad is that fact that C&C told me nonchalantly that the stains are now permanent, and there is nothing that they can do about it.

Once the 1year complimentary servicing is done, its good bye C&C Kia.

You have been saying about the stains. Why not take some photos and post here?
