Anyone here replaced their Halogen bulbs with LED? Unfortunately, my SX does not come with HID.

Was it a simple bulb replacement or is there a need to add a ballast or LED controller?

Am looking at the Phillips H11 LED bulbs, but worried that it may not be bright enough for our low beam. Seems to be a quick bulb replacement. (Link to bulb website below)

dun really like to change the bulbs, it doesnt really last. I probably change to HID on my own. The thing about our ride is some batches come in HID, while some don't so hehehehe

How much is the Philips?

I am using LEDs with built in heatsinks, H8 for my foggies and H7 for lowbeams. Output is rated/claimed at 7200 lumens a pair.

Both bought from ebay, about S$50-60 a pair.

very good illumination and does not blind oncoming traffic as our headlights come with projection housings with a proper cut off to prevent glare.

H11 doesn't match any of your bulbs. If you're looking to replace the stock bulbs, be warned your headlights warranty will be void. 1 important thing to note is the wiring, it may catch fire when over heated, dont touch if you're sure about electrical.

Info you can find in your manual;

Lo beam H7 55W

Hi beam H1 55W

Foggie H8 35W

Not all LED light available in the market are suitable, those no needs modifications come w/o heat sink and driver, but high watts and low Lumun, those with heat sink requires additional adaptor to fit and also concerned unable to contain it with the cap on.

What ever mod you do, remember not to mod the factory wiring/adaptor etc, you can revert back to stock easily for whatever reasons. It takes me almost 2 months trial and error to fit Lo & Hi beam w/o need to disturb the factory wiring/adaptor.

Happy searching and modding.

Same tot for HID initially, but after some searching, decided to go for LED instead. Claimed 30k~50K hours of life span, got to wait and see how it last.

HID has very high operating temperature tho

Actually, I did feedback to C&C... the excuse they gave me is that when they (don't know who or true) that they cannot simulate what I reported.

So, like what I mention earlier... just live with it :).. Not a big deal... Like some brothers here said, maybe this is one of thing, isolated case..

More important things to worry in life... like increase of HDB season parking rate?? *sigh*

I guess I must have read wrongly. Thought our stock bulbs were H11. Thanks for clarifying! And thank you for the advice.

H11 could be for other markets.

for example in the USA, foglights are H11, while here is H8.

You still using the stock Nexen tyres? What rims u looking at?

yes still stock nexens!

not much trade in value so intend to use it until time to change.

rims just something that looks nice and matches my "chrome" theme hehe.....

some of the inforged and vossen rims look good. Not gonna be trashing my ride like a track car so not gonna get the super performance rims. any suggestions? what are u using now for rims/tires?

I'm still using stock rims with CSC5 tyres.

I've short listed some rims for consideration.

1. SSR - GTX01

2. Rays - 57Extreme

3. Weds sport - TC105N

Any bro knows what's our stock rim off set or what off set to get flush to the arc?

Our stock rims is 17x7J 49ET.

Flush can try 8-8.5J 45ET.
