Quite a few years back, a van made a delivery to my workplace. The driver was an Ang Moh with a strong Cockney English accent. This was long before all the fuss about FTs had reached fever pitch.

 

Nothing surprises me anymore.

There are different classes in ang mo also. Western Europeans (richer) and Eastern Europeans (poorer).

taxi driver only for ppl with pink IC leh. I like to tell ppl that its the last social safety net for poor folks who cannot afford to be landlords. Hopefully this is still the case.

 

I also hope so too, bec my lau peh only can drive taxi and if this also open to foreigners (pink or watever IC) then really we all jialat liao.. no more point to be singaporean when our own home we also cannot survive...

Some of the ang moh farmers over there work for Chinese farm owners. There are still parts of the world where ang moh countries are still lacking behind economically.
