If it's a direct sales MLM (friend to friend or even cold call type), best to steer clear of them.

Usually when you buy something, try to calculate how the company will earn the money from you. And how much goes into the sales process.

Also, if you want to book cheap trips, there's always Scoot, Tiger, Jetstar or just use Zuji.

Remember 1 or 2 years back. A uni friend suddenly call me. Thought it was to TCSS but end up he started promoting his MLM product. Worse thing is the product is sanitary pads :o Imagine a guy carrying pads around and doing demo to show its effectiveness

My mum was also invited down for a talk, but didn't go in the end after I showed her what it was all about. This World Ventures started in the US, so google it and you can read up on tonnes of reviews over the net.

Granted there may be some MLM that may be honest business and not fly by night, but given the vast number of scam cases, i think it is better to put your money elsewhere and play safe, or err by the safe side. money is not easily earned.

Btw i thought network marketing is illegal ? or not anymore ?

Part of MLM training is the "brainwashing" lah.. Had one friend inside the old Sunshine Empire, talk about it like so big like that, how much he earn and all, still wanted to borrow cash from me, and when the Empire fell, his words turned very fast. Lucky he not good friend and I didn't load him money.

Plus, the "customers in Africa", if real, also not his customers, and maybe is the company sold to African companies direct.

Is Nigeria part of Africa? If yes, I know a number of acquaintances who are waiting to withdraw millions of dollars from their banks. A lot of them have a lot of inheritance money. [laugh]
